You're welcome, by the way, usually the window sticker there is a section that mentions where are the parts made, Here is an example of what I mean:

My e300 was made in Germany and so was the engine, confirmed! :-)

..Now where the radio was source from and other things, IDK, maybe Mitsubishi , my w212 radio was made there.
Are you stupid or are you dumb? 2016 and 2017 Mercedes M274 engines were assembled in the USA. There was a nissan/infinity plant that owned those engines and they had a contract with Daimler AG (Mercedes) to produce those engines for them. They were poor quality and a lot of them had piston slap issues and wrist pin issues. It's just facts. Look it up online and the hundreds of people on these forums complaining about their 20,000 mile mercedes blowing up.

The new models of the E300 are built else where and not in the USA. They're more than likely built in Germany like your slide show says. But the 2016/2017 engines were 10000% built in the USA, shipped over to germany, and then assembled there and shipped back to the USA like yours was.

Have a nice day.

Just because you don't want to believe something doesn't make it not true. Just like a lot of the parts in your mercedes are from Chrysler. Do some research.

Clearly you've never been in Europe then. The most common car fuel type you'll see is a Diesel powered vehicle. It's funny because I used to work at a small gas station off the highway in Munich when I was 18 years old, and some days never poured an ounce of Petrol in someones car. they were almost all diesel sales. Whatever your statisitcs say, they're still wrong about what the most common type of cars are driven in Germany, switzerland, austria, croatia, etc. Some countries DO have more petrol than diesels, thats why your little chart says there are more petrol than diesels in Europe. but overall you will 100000000% see more diesels than petrol cars. Bafoon.

You have to be the biggest oxymoron I've ever seen!

I've shown you countless things that you are wrong on every account other people have chimed in as well and told you that you're wrong on every account yet you're still persistent that you're right!

If my engine did come from a US plant I wouldn't even care but it didn't!

And I lived in Germany for 20 years so I think I would know what the majority of cars are and they're not diesel we've proven that to you as well, yes the W 213!

Is it that you just want the last word because you're way off from being right at any of your points, Mr. 99.9% lmao!!!

You haven't shown me anything. There was a couple of people who said some things and you just re-quoted their post agreeing with them. The issue isn't with bad gas/low octane fuel, it's just that the Nissan/Infinity plant used bad parts/material. There's literally a class action law suit against Mercedes for that exact thing. But you choosing not to believe it because your car was supposedly purchased in germany and bought over to the US is your own battle. But at the end of the day it doesn't matter. Believe what you want to. I hope your Benz runs a million miles and doesn't have any problems ever. I wouldn't want to see anyone's car break. But just know that your M274 has the probability to have the wrist pin piston issue because it's a common thing for your model year, and that's just facts.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

Mercedes M274 engine assembly plant Stuttgart Unterturkhe

Once again, they are also made in Germany, complete- have been and still are!

The problem was the USA MB engines combined with bad gas!

Complete built from A to B

My friend.. what don't you understand. The American/North American market M274 cars had their engine built in Tuscaloosa, Alabama or the other plants they had. If your car was for the European market (which it wasn't), then it might've been made in Europe. You know that Mercedes isn't 100% german made, right? They used parts from the Alabama plant too and all over. You can look at the paper that came with your car when you bought it that says what % of the car was made where.

Best thing for you to do is to call Mercedes and have them check where your engine was made so you can sleep better at night. At the end of the day it doesn't even matter.

Also, not sure what planet you're stuck on but it's not because of "bad gas". It's because of bad parts/quality. Mercedes even revised the M274 in late 2017/early 2018 to put in better Wrist Pins (or so they say) for this exact problem. MERCEDES LITERALLY SAID WHAT THE ISSUE WAS. NOT BAD GAS. I've put 89 and 91 octane in my current E300 ALL the time when I travel to places that don't have 93 octane available and it's still driving fine at 150,000 miles. My other E300 that I daily drive at home only gets 93 octane because the gas station has 93 next to my house and I needed a new engine. My brother who doesn't care at all only puts 89 in his E300 because he doesn't want to spend another $10 at the pump still has his mercedes working fine at 160,000 miles.

What could attribute to the engine blowing up is low octane fuel (or in your case "bad gas" what ever that means). With low octane fuel the engine could detonate earlier or not combust in correct time and could crack the piston or the wrist pin.

Get your head out of your rear end.

Here is what most suspect damage direct injection engines, regardless of the gasoline being used.

However, it does not explain why within the same manufacturer the "anomalous cases" mostly (I do not use ONLY to leave room for a possible instance of a V6/V8 being reported elsewhere) happen to a particular section of their engine production.

Look dude, your wrong!!!

I just called them in Stuttgart where I bought my car in 2017, Phone number: +49 711 17-0

Talked to Engineering Dept and they confirmed my complete engine and every-part to it- came from the Berlin plant in Germany and assembled in Stuttgart!!

They also told me this piston issue was mostly on the 2015-2016 models, not many E 300, more of the C 300 and GLC 300- USA built motors!!

AGAIN: NOT ONE PART CAME FROM THE USA ON MY CAR AS FAR AS THE ENGINE, ONLY BERLIN!!!

YES I KNOW THEY SOURCE PARTS EVERYONE DOES AND HAS BEEN FOR YEARS.

My God!!!!!!! Please call them and ask them yourself!!!! Number above. ...Let me guess your now going to say the USA sent to parts to Berlin lol

Smart people understand this and why this piston problem was mostly only in the USA! Think!

Do you not read? I said in my last post to you that engines are made at various plants. Parts come from all over the place. You're 10000000% wrong that not one part came from other countries. 1/3 of your previous mercedes is from Poland. Not Germany. You realize that Mercedes does not make parts, right? They use Bosch, Continental, Mahle, Valeo, ZF Friedrichshafen etc. Parts from your transmission are from the USA whether you want to believe it or not. Parts of your engine are from france, poland, spain, etc whether you want to believe it or not. But ignorance is a bliss right.

Also, Mercedes/Car manufactures say a lot of things. A simple search on E Class, GLC Class (one of which you posted on yesterday with Piston/wrist pin issues) (Didn't think i'd see that huh &#128521 C Class, GLA, any M274 engined Mercedes would have these issues if they came from the USA plant from a certain date period. Of course they'll tell you only 2015-2016 model years would have this problem only just to get you off the phone. My 2018 blew up, and many others on these forums complained about their various model mercedes with various years blowing up too. Again, get your head out of your rear end. It's the real world. Do some research.

What's your VIN number? Chassis also asked you in the GLC forum and you never replied. I'm curious.

What's your VIN number? Chassis also asked you in the GLC forum and you never replied. I'm curious.
Wrong again!! and I don't give my vin# out!

I know for a fact my engine and components are not from the USA! Been confirmed and reconfirmed! I'm good!

Relax paco. It's not your social security number. No ones going to steal your identity with your VIN number. Hundreds of people share their VIN's. All it'll tell us is that your mercedes was assembled in Untertürkheim and what your engine code is.
