That's good to hear sounds like it is safe for others to update.

Mine had an auto update on Friday. Something to do with the communication module.

Was it the enablement for future module updates like this one? https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...7ec0d8f37.jpeg

My firs majort update Over
The Air
happened Sunday-Super Bowl Day. Went smoothly and I was alerted. Note this fact though: Your App for the Auto-Mercedes Me-will show many of the features gone or Activating-wait 24-48 hours. Representative was no help. About an hour after Update downloade amd I restarted my auto,, my app updated and all is good. Never knew that downloading the updates deactivates your app for a period of time. Note this fact. I am wondering if the Firmware/Software 3.1 will soon happen to fully activate our Digital Lights-Welcome/Farewell and Projections of road hazards on road by headlights at night. Checking later today. Should be available during first quarter 2025.

I got a letter in the mail a week ago or so about this update. Haven’t got in my car yet today and didn’t drive yesterday but I suspect later today when I drive it may want to down load this update. I think I’ll wait a while I’ll let you guys be the Guinea pigs lol. Everything right now with the car is fine I’d hate to risk something getting screwed up.

I got a letter last week about this update. What's interesting is that it said that my "vehicle does not appear to have an active Mercedes me connect subscription" but that the OTA would still be performed unless I choose to opt-out. I actually do have a Mercedes Me connect subscription so it's a bit confusing that it's saying I don't. It goes on to say that the opt-out period runs from Jan 31 to Mar 2 and that if I don't opt-out, the update will be applied after the opt-out period ends. I called MBUSA about this, both to find out why they think that I do not have a Mercedes Me subscription and why others are getting the OTA update before the opt-out period. They told me that everyone who was sent a letter got the same message about not having a subscription and that it was a mistake. They also said that the OTA update is being done in phases and that not everyone will get it at the same time.

I do have my car configured to not allow automatic updates and I also setup a PIN that must be used to allow the update. That doesn't mean that I won't get an OTA but that I'll be promoted to provide authorization to perform the update and I'll have to enter my PIN to approve it. I assume I'll get the OTA sometime after Mar 2nd which is just 3 weeks from now. I've added a copy of the letter I received just in case others have not gotten it or got a different letter. It looks like a generic form letter but does have my name, address, and VIN at the top of the letter.

Yep same letter I got. Strange because I’ve had the app for years. As long as everything in the car mainly the screens keep on working I’m happy. Mb did a great job with this car tuning the suspension in comfort mode it’s what it should have been all along going back years. My 2019 rode very similar in comfort mode as to what this car rides in sport mode. You can feel every slight bump in the road. In comfort mode this 214 feels slightly floaty which imo is a good thing you want a luxury car to have this kind of characteristic.

I received the same letter as you guys despite having MercedesMe. Glad you called, L1Wolf, and found the letter saying you don’t have MercedesMe to be a mistake. Drove around all day today with no issues after downloading the update yesterday.

I thought I’d report no issues as the “no issues crowd” is understandably silent and that may make people think software issues are universal. I hope those that have issues find resolution.

Any chance of finding a changelog by chance, like what exactly does this update do?

Hi everyone and Wolf. I did the same thing on Saturday and called MB about that letter that said I had no Subscription. Like Wold stated, MB apologized as I have all the digital extras for free the first year of ownership. MB stated letter was confusing. No issue with download though I do not know what it improved. Still waiting for firmware/software for the digital lights so I have Welcome/Farewell and animations.
Best wishes.

I received the same letter, also i was told it was in error since I have an active subscription. I was told that there are actually 2 updates coming, One to go from MBUX 2.5 to 2.6 and the second to go from fresh up 4 to fresh up 5. Not sure what the second one does, person didn't really know the details. So far I have not received the update.

For those that got the same or similar letter and have already received the OTA update. Are the dates the same as mine for the opt-out period? I'm wondering if anyone got the OTA update before the end of their specific opt-out period.

The letter I received was exactly the same as the one you posted, including the dates. I received the update and successfully downloaded it.

Still no update available on my car. Maybe because it was made end of September so car is still fairly new. No issues with anything yet other than the left headlight may have some leds not working properly as I get a slight dark spot in the headlight beam to the far left.

I had a few glitches from my update. I didn’t drive the car since the update until a short trip last night when it said it was installing the update. This morning when I unlocked the car, the mirrors wouldn’t fold out. I had to do it manually, but working now. The HOLD function did not work at first and the Sirius was reset to Ch 1. Everything seems to be back to normal now.

These? https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...ight-line.html

Might be normal or common for US spec.

That is a strange glitch but at least it is back to normal.
