I don't think it's an issue about being behind Tesla. Tesla build quality isn't good and they cut corners everywhere, especially on interior design.
What Tesla has done is they have cornered the market on the "I want to look Green" crowd. This is a small market. The average car consumer isn't sold on electric cars and they will have to be if everyone other than Tesla is going to be able to sell these cars. MB on the other hand have been building cars with good QC for a long time. Really makes one wonder what's the future of Tesla as a car manufacturer once MB, BMW, and Audi offer more and more EVs |
What a huge mistake by Mercedes. The EQC would’ve been a hot seller here in the US. Even releasing it last year they would’ve done well with the SUV craze in the US.
They are following up this mistake with a bigger mistake: introducing a EV sedan vs SUV. |
