EQE 500
MBUSA finally updated

Still can't build it but at least it's no longer a future model.

My dealer was able to submit my 500 order just over a week ago. Maybe I'll drop by tomorrow and see if they have any on the lot yet.

Thanks. Really hoping 2023 production is better than last year. I found so many threads here about dates pushed back months and months.

Not a cheap car.
Good luck.

Yeah, in Calif, a typical EQE 350 RWD is on sale for $83K. That's too much for me.

yea but $83K is a plain jane, little to no options.

I'm kicking around getting on and trading my C63 in for it. We just took deliver of our EQS SUV and I have to admit its nice. I like the size and shape of the E a lot more than the S EQ. Want to see when I can build one on line and then I'll decide.

I haven't seen the EQE sedan at my dealership yet. I've seen the EQS and think the shape is a bit long. I would wait for at least 1 year to see all the bugs sorted out and see how well they sell the cars.

I am curious how long did your dealership say it will take for your car to arrive? I also ordered EQE500 couple weeks ago and they said it will be here around June. Attached is my config

EQE 500
They originally said 4 months but that was a guess. They did finally call a day or two ago and said that Mercedes accepted the order. I assume that means they should have an actual build date assigned now but I've heard nothing else yet. I might drop by tomorrow and see what's up. They're annoyingly quiet.

ETA: nice build. Magno always scares me away!

thank you, my current 300 is Magno but the lighter version not graphite. I agree about the dealership. I just wish they have away for us to track the process on our orders like Tesla does or other “normal” dealerships! I heard nothing about an actual date yet and it was accepted over a week ago, maybe I need to call them too!

EQE 500
I dropped by the dealership since they finally got an EQE 350 on the lot. Unfortunately, my order still has no build date assigned. 500s seem to been pretty rare at least by me in the northeast. I see some of the posts on the EQS boards with people now taking delivery of their custom orders from Jan 2022. Really hoping that's not gonna be the case with the EQE 500.

Finally got to see the EQE in person and the interior is up to par with my expectations and a million percent better than the Tesla I'm in.

Oh my goodness, you've got me excited. I have to swing by my dealership to see if they are available. It is still expensive for my budget. LOL.

I picked this one up yesterday its a 350+ nothing fancy like our EQS suv but pretty nice for sure. It came with driver assistance, Digital light and exclusive trim level packages. I picked it up by total accident...wanted to see if I could test drive one and they had five LOL. loved the way it drove, took her home. I'll post better pictures tomorrow.

Congrats! That’s now two EQ models in the last month? Guess you are enjoying the electric drivetrain then! Do you still have the AMG?

I feel the same way, at least in VA all I hear about and see is 350 or AMG, no 500 yet. I hope it won’t take a year because I might end up getting something else, the mercedes website does say order built outside of the U.S take 3-6 months.

Nope can not part with it... To be honest I'm not 100% sold yet, yes it has some obvious advantages but it also has some downsides. As an example yesterday we decide to take both of the EVs to the charging stations near our home there are four banks there. All four were in use and it took 45 min before we were able to start the first car. Yes I installed a charger at home but this is the reality of ownership when you are away from home traveling.

There is a white fully loaded EQE 500 where I purchased the E, it has the AMG exterior line package, HUD, Leather all the toys $105500.00

here are a couple of pics waiting at the charging station LOL

I have a friend with an E-Tron and the experience of Electrify America chargers has had plenty of hits and misses. But if you charge at home more than using public, hopefully the experience will be painless. Still a nice mix of cars to have, the fun and emotional AMG, and the seamless and quiet luxury EQ’s.

The funny thing is that they wanted to low ball me on the 63 I said F it I'll just keep it. One thing I have learned over the last 20 years of owning MB and AMG cars in particular is that AMG depreciate A LOT. When I purchased my GTS I paid 135K for it, a year later it was worth 90K. Two years later 85K, that is ridiculous.

EQS
I test drove an EQS Suv today and was impressed but it's just too big for me. It drove more like a car than I imagined, which was really impressive, but it's really too big for me. I didn't drive the EQS Sedan--it felt really big to sit in. That has me leaning toward the EQE. The only EQE the dealer had was the AMG sedan, which looks incredible, but is probably too much car for what I need. I'm curious to see the SUV model, which the dealer said would be between a GLC and GLE in size, but it sounds like it would be a 4-5 month wait to get one.

Is the EQE as efficient as the EQS? I could be wrong, but it seems like the EQS is rated as having higher mileage by the EPA. @sno Can you check your window sticker and share the combined/city/highway mileage rating?

EQE 500
Yeah, the EQS is significantly more efficient, at least going by the EPA ratings. The EQE 500 4Matic is 83 MPGe. (Going off memory, the 350 4Matic is similar and the 350+ gets 305 mile range) Fueleconomy.gov lists the EQS 450 4Matic at 103 MPGe.

The window sticker on the EQE say that the MPGe is 96 combined with a driving range is 305 miles

98 city
94 highway
35 kW-hrs per 100 miles

The EQS 450 SUV says:

85 MPGe combined
87 city
83 highway
40 kW-hrs per 100

Driving range 305 miles

Seems the EQE has better MPGe but they both have the same range but mine is a 350 not a 500.

The EQS sedans have the best efficiency ratings. Perhaps it’s the aerodynamics. The 450 is best, with the more powerful variants not scoring as high. The SUVs are heavier and aren’t as efficient as the sedans.

That is correct they are heavier and don't share the air coefficient.

funny thing this weekend the wife had her 5K corporate run, it is about 100 miles round trip. I do the 100 miles everyday to work and back in the EQE and at 85 mph I use up 40% of the battery each run. We took the EQS SUV to the run and it used at 85 mph 50% of its battery, there is a significant difference. I like to think this is a real world comparison.
