EQS580 first long vacation trip

I took the family to Las Vegas for the weekend. The night before I charged up the SUV to 100% at an EV station and gotten 354 miles range. We stop at Baker with 38% and charged to 90% before entering Las Vegas.

The next day we decided to go up to Mt Charleston so the family can spend the day playing in the snow. Driving around the strip the day before left us with 28% so we stop at an EA station at Cesar forum and charged to 90%. Going up the mountain to 7400+ ft. drained the battery quick. By the time we gotten up to the mountain with the heater running we got 60% left on the battery.

Coming down the mountain I gained 5% using strong Regenerative so we decided to drive to Valley of Fire state park. Going up more mountain and by the time we had gotten back to Caesar palace that night the SUV have 26% battery. The next day we decided to go to Hoover Dam before headed back to Irvine, so we stop an EA station at Las Vegas south premium outlet mall to charge while we have lunch. On the way to Hoover Dam there were more going ups hills and mountain. Spending 2 hour at the Dam we got Dam bored and decided to go home. By the time we got to Baker we got 38% and top off to 90% before headed back home. When we got back to Irvine the SUV have 38%.

It was a fun weekend for the whole family with the EQS. in 3 days, we put more than 850 miles on the EQS. The ride was so smooth and quiet. My wife slept most of the time. It was an awesome ride; the seat was so comfortable; I did 70-90 mph most of the way. What I noticed is the EQS used the same power going 80-90 mph if it were doing 40-60 mph. it takes power to get the SUV up to the speed but once you're there it only required 5-15% power to keep it going unless you’re going up a hill. During the trip the heater and AC was on. Never once was I worry about not having enough battery to get to my next designation. We going to take a trip to Yosemite national park this spring break. I have to say this is the best SUV I ever owned.

btw, during the trip the EQS gotten an OTA update on the NAV. there was a pop-up message and the NAV rebooted and i had to input the designation again. other than that, i didn't noticed anything different. Also during the whole trip i charged twice each time to get to 90% and end up paying nothing for charging the whole trip. There just no way you can charge to 90% on one charge at an EA 350Kwh station.

There an EA station right next to a Tesla Supercharger station off I-15 in Baker. Tesla have 30 chargers and EA have 10 or 12 chargers 150/350kWh. I been to this EA station twice in one weekend and always 3-4 chargers open. but the Supercharger always full. Next EA station is 85 miles to Las Vegas South Premium Outlets. Ceasar forum have an EA station also that why we decided to stay at Ceasar. I didn't have to wait at any of the EA station, this was a weekend too.

We actually went to San Francsico and San Jose instead. No worries, plenty of 150/250 kw EA stations on the way. we are thinking of taking a 20+ hours trip to Seattle WA and maybe to Vancouver BC this summer. We'll see how this play out.
