Like many of you, I'm anxious to see EQS SUV, the EQE, and eventually the EQE SUV. Hopefully it reduces the number of those obnoxious "GAME OVER" YouTube videos from Tesla fanboys. I would bet they don't like that new 'Yoke' steering wheel or those silly touch controls (on the S or X and ) but are so taken with the 0 to 60 speeds that they forgot it's a car, not race car.

I agree. To many of them going from 0-60 in two seconds quicker than MB means "Game over". lol.

If you want an EQS 580 early better call your dealer. Was told 20% of EQS’ built will be 580’s and will be difficult to get.

If you don't have an order in now, it's probably too late. Keep in mind most of these cars are going to the CARB states. Won't be much left for the rest of us.

Dealers have start receiving EQS allocations. No prices yet but In Europe a fully loaded EQS 580 is 185k Euro.

The GM from my dealer called me a couple hours ago to inform me that my EQS580 was ready to be ordered with the options I want. It had been on the portal. The problem is that when he placed all the options I want he said that the hyper screen and all the comes with it (like 3D head up display) was not available. I said that does not make sense and he agreed since the EQS580 automatically comes with the hyper screen. Does anyone here know what's going on with this?

According to the order guide, the hyperscreen is standard on the 580. However, it's labeled as having extremely limited worldwide availability. It's possible availability has gotten bad enough to where it is being removed as a standard feature on the 580.

It’s getting beyond ridiculous. I know it’s not Mercedes fault, but I’m not spending 130k+ for a car that doesn’t come equipped with the advertised options, especially since they are not discounting these cars. I am 7th on my dealers list for an EQS and was told they have their first allocation in late January. I’m perfectly satisfied with my current 2018 S class and only reason for worry is my warranty expires this September. At this rate I might be getting a 23 model. I can wait till all options are available and maybe some of the bugs of a new release are worked out.

Only 20% of EQS' produced will be the 580 due to the chip shortage (since the Hyperscreen is standard). I think it would be smart for MB to allow for the 580 to be delivered without it (despite this being the best and highlight feature) as the 450 is only available with RWD and because of that will be DOA in many markets.

This is unbelievable! First they are sidelining or pulling the automatic doors, now the 3d heads up and then and Hyper Screen!!!? If that is the case I will cancel my order. It's to the point MB should just wait until they can manufacture and deliver the car they have been advertising! There has been no single item being Hyped and Promoted by MB more than the Hyper Screen and the auto doors, What's left their .20 coefficient and the window washer? Its going to be 2022 before any of these vehicles hit the US, I would just as soon wait for the 2023 model. I feel better venting a bit!

I'll wait until hell freezes over if I have to. Meanwhile, I'm paying the residual on my 3 year one payment lease which expires on September 28 for the 2019 S450. I doubt I'll lose on the deal. Used cars will be in high demand well into next year at least. My S450 is in excellent condition with only 26,000 miles on it.

The incentive to part with MB V8s at the moment is pretty low. In fact they may go up in price if Mercedes does drop the majority of them next year.
I do agree on the frustration of not only the cars but even basic pricing configuration.

The Hyperscreen and auto doors are presently constrained. You might possibly put in the order but will not get it when the car arrives. The number of 580's will be extremely limited as the 450's will be first to be delivered.
