Eurika, finally have it figured out!

Like many of you, I have been frustrated with the touch/slide sensor switches for radio volume, cruise control, sunroof, etc. Think I finally have a foolproof method figured out. Touching and sliding a finger or thumb over these switches seems to work only sporadically, is frustrating, and apparently generates too much information for the car to process. I have begun just flicking a finger over the switches, and they respond immediately, with no errors. Flick the radio volume, and it changes the volume as if you had one click on a regular dial. Flick the overhead sensor and the sunscreen opens all the way on the first try, and then flick it again and the sunroof opens all the way on the first try. Same goes for closing them. It had been so annoying to try to operate until I discovered the small flick, not the lengthy slide of the finger. A small victory for me, and you may have already figured this out....but it has been majic for me since I finally got it! Hope this helps some of you.

Yes, it has been annoying. I always slide my finger for these features. I will try your method later today. Thanks!

Thanks for the great tip. But for sound volume I'm using the +/- button on the center console. The incremental change is much less that the swipe on the steering wheel. And I can use it now without looking for it.

I just tell Hey Mercedes to increase or lower the volume. She can also open and close the sunshade on the roof. She will not open the roof though on my unit. She will also tell you your tire pressure.

Tried your technique on the sunroof screen and it worked! I have been struggling with that one since I bought the car! Thank you!

Glad it worked for you. Has been wonderful for me since I discovered "the finger flick".
