Adding your home to the csrs charging network

Does anyone know how to do this? It would save me a lot if heartache with the vehicle thinking Im going to run out of charge on my way home.

You can always ask Mercedes to plot a route to your home address. When she does so you can look at the upper left-hand corner of the screen and it will show the miles to the destination and the percentage of charge you will have left when you get there. It is very accurate

With my ChargePoint Homeflex there is no way to do this without making the charger itself public.....which I am loath to do, of course.

That was my impression too. I have an indoor charger so even if I wanted to give out free electricity its a non option.

Hmm. Did I make my ChargePoint a public charger by mistake? On my app my charger shows up as CP home. Does that mean everyone can see it? Like pretty much everyone else it’s inside my garage where no one can access it.

You are fine.....🙂We were wondering how to let the car know you have a charger in your home so it stops bugging about not having charger within range when you are running low on charge but are just around the corner from your home charger.

My ChargePoint Home Flex charger shows up on my ChargePoint app also, as long as I haven't filtered for DC Fast Chargers. And I definitely did NOT make my home charger public when I set it up. So showing up in the ChargePoint app does not necessarily imply 'public'. But I do not see my home charger on the Mercedes Me app nor on the navigation screen in my 580.

Agree. Mine is present on my ChargePoint app, but not on the screen of my EQS. I think to do that, you would have to make it's location public, which is an option on setup. Mine is indoors, I have no plans to share the electricity I pay so much for, and I don't want some random EV driver knocking on my door with a near-dead battery. Too bad......seems like you should be able to privately identify Home as a charging point to your EQS. I guess they can't think of every scenario.....

You should make your location at a nearby street corner. That'll keep strangers from knocking on your door.
