Difference eqe: 580 vs 450?

What's the major differences between these two models if they have the same battery size? Seems you can order the same options for both except the hyper screen?

What's the difference in real world range?
Thanks!

For one thing, the EQS580 has two motors (one in the front and one in the rear) and therefore more power. The EQS450 only has one. There are other subtle differences that others here can tell you. If you google differences between EQS580 and 450 I’m sure you’ll get all the details.

So that's the only major difference? Dual motor and hyperscreen. And range will be better on the 450.

But option wise you can get the same for both correct?

Thanks

For 2023 there is the EQS 450 4matic which is also dual motor. The EQS 450+ is rear motor only.
The only difference between the 450 4M and the 580 is the power of the motors and the hyperscreen, I don't know what the range of the EQS 450 4M is yet because I don't think it has been published.
The 450+ has better range than the 580.
Yes the only thing that is exclusive to the 580 is the hyperscreen.

I believe there are other differences but I’m not sure. As I stated above, the 580 has more power and can go from 0 to 60 mph in about 3.9 or 4.0 seconds. As for range, I think the difference is extremely minimal if at all. Myself and others were getting well over 400 miles of range with the 580 from about April into October. The colder the outside temperature, the lower the range in winter months in the northern U.S., just like any other vehicle, gas or electric.

Seems odd that the hyper screen will be available for the eqe, but not the eqs 450..

I saw a few used eqs 450 with the hyperscreen. Will that option for the 450 ever come back?

I have no Idea. They blamed everything on the "Chip shortage" but there is no chip shortage and we still dont have comfort doors... we cant even get soft closing doors on a $120k+ vehicle... That's just crazy to me

My 450 + also has the hyperscreen.

Real world difference in range is about 5%. The 580 is seriously (maybe unnecesarily) faster. If you get the AWD 450 thats the only differences aside from the hyperscreen. Personally, functionally the hyperscreen is unnecessary, however, as a matter of interior design its crucial.

Always interesting how tastes differ.

I wouldn't have the hyperscreen. To each his own.

Why is that? I can think of reasons to prefer either but from a looks standpoint I think the hyperscreen is much better but could see going with the non hyperscreen.

As;always, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Very subjective thing.
