Why Are So Many EQS For Sale?
Serious question, there are 163 for sale within 50 miles and over 1100 within 500. I am located in San Diego as an FYI. Anyone have any insight first on how Mercedes was able to build this many (with parts shortages) and second why? It is a crazy amount of $100K EV's to have available right now. Not looking to sell so don't really care, just more curious than anything else.

Market is changing. Supply is picking up as demand is dropping off, mixed with high interest rates. I’ve noticed this across the board, six-figure cars especially of numerous makes and models (other than highly desirable cars like 911 or a G-Wagon) are in less demand right now.

I think one of the primary drivers of the abundance of the entire Mercedes-Benz EQ line is that sales are so slow in its main market. There were discounts of up to US$33,000 introduced in late November in the mainland China region in a response to very slow sales figures. I'm not sure if that is true across the EV board, or just for Mercedes-Benz.

There are a ton of EQE sedans for sale and sitting on dealer lots. EQE350s, EQE500s & EQE AMGs. Over 600+ on Cars.com alone.

Why would someone buy a base EQE E350+ when they could get a slightly used EQS for the same price?

Some of the cars listed as "available" are allocated units but not yet there. Some are already sold - custom ordered. My custom ordered car was listed as available.... That being said, definitely a lot more availability than one year ago
