iPhone/Bluetooth/Apple Music bug -- has anyone solved?

iPhone/Bluetooth/Apple Music bug -- has anyone solved?
This is simply driving me crazy.
Apple iPhone 14 Pro running IOS 16.5.1. EQS 580. Not using CarPlay.
When the phone connects via bluetooth, Apple Music launches and starts to play -- even though the car's audio source is set to radio. It's just streaming music to nowhere.
I've tried every single suggestion you can find online if you google "stop iPhone from playing automatically when bluetooth connects."
I am tearing my hair out.
Anyone else experiencing this? Anyone solve this?

We use both iPhones 13 and 14 with latest IOS without any issues. I think the issue is on the phone side because I have experienced it with some headphones that it starts automatically. Car stays in the previous settings for the profile.

I have the iPhone connected through CarPlay wirelessly and I do not have that issue. I have even my wife’s phone connected as 2nd phone and no issues there as well. I used to use CarPlay but after I started using Apple Music directly in EQS, I seldom use CarPlay. Anyway, try removing the phone completely and then add it as CarPlay.
Again to clarify, whenever I get in to the car, the iPhone connects and CarPlay shows up but never plays music automatically.
