2000 mile road trip! I90 fully electrified!

2000 mile road trip! I90 fully electrified!

The great divide has been conquered. What a drive. The car and the charging were flawless. EA has been getting is act together. No problems whatsoever. 2 of the charges were at the hotels (one a Tesla destination charger with the Tesla tap). One was a 50kw Charge point which was new and worked perfectly, as usual. Weather was cold and snowy till I passed the Rockies. The EQS is a road trip master.

For much of the drive the weather was not very scenic 😞

For your road trip, how many miles was it for 80% down to 10%?

280 for 100% right? So if driving until 10% and charging to 80%, it would be around 200 miles? That's impressive given that it's winter and at 80 mph for most of the way.

I usually charge to 90 on road trip to arrive with a good buffer (just in case) it was always estimating 280 plus. The temps were hovering around the 30 to low 40's. At no time was range a problem. My only worry was whether the stations were going to be functional or not. I only had 2 instances where a charger was not functioning but the next charger I tried in the station was fine. The only charger that didn't work plug and charge was in Montana, it required using a credit card. The charging expirience during the entire trip was virtually pain free. The EA charger that required the credict card also did not show up in my transaction history either. It was also rather pricey at 42cets per Kw.
