Where to buy CPO 2 year extension?
#26
I just purchased an extended warranty from Erin in Santa Rosa. I initially emailed her, but as some others mentioned, she is more of an on-the-phone person. She was very trustworthy and friendly and continually gave me feedback to make sure I felt at-ease purchasing over the phone. Her price was the same as Jeff's on a 6/75, but I ended up buying a 7/75 (didn't have a price to compare on that one). I definitely recommend giving her a call to at least get a quote. Bonus - No tax charged for extended warranty purchased in California!

Curious what these will sell for.

I'm in the same boat. Need to buy the CPO extended warranty but....... a dilemma. Will the dealers still honor the warranty if I don't use them anymore for routine maintenance from now on? Presumably with a 2 year extension I could be driving an additional 32K to 35K miles within that time, which is about 3 additional scheduled factory maintenance services. Will they throw up their hands and say, "you got this maintained elsewhere, we can't honor the warranty."

Extended warranty & wheel/tire hazard insurance
Cassandra from IA Milwaukee ccastro@iamilwaukee.com 414-543-3000 ext 115
I wanted to thank Mercedes_Girl for the above individual contact info. I wonder how many forum members are aware that you can also
buy the Wheel/tire hazard insurance from Mercedes dealers other than your selling dealer. I got a price on 5 years of the wheel/tire hazard
insurance from my selling dealer for $2,040. I have bought this insurance before for other cars and even other Mercedes. Thought it was
a bit too high. However, it does include the tire, wheel, and even curb kissing marks and no deductible.
Cassandra Castro was contacted the day after purchase via email and she promptly replied in the same day via email with a price quote.
I called her to verify the $ amount of her quote which was 29.5% off of the quote from selling dealer. Very easy transaction with credit card
and a pdf from her on the Wheel/tire insurance for five years. Could not have been any easier. When you are purchasing your Mercedes,
this is the Platinum Plus package for wheel/tires. I have used other vendors for this type of pricing over the years for Extended warranties for both
new and CPO (Mercedes) and this was the best!!

I was able to buy the cheapest CPO 2 year warranty extension through Marc of WI Simonson.
Process could not have been smoother.
His cell number is 818-266-4305. He has iMessage so you can text him as well.
A1 recommended dealership and all around great guy.

I just sent some emails today to all those mentioned in this thread, Erin, Jeff, Marc, and Cassandra. I will report back when I hear from all of them.

Cassandra was the cheapest. I bought mine from her last week. Over 500 bucks cheaper than Jeff.

I too contacted several of the people mentioned on this thread for a Mercedes Benz ELW 7yr/75,000 miles. I ended up purchasing through Jeff Jackson. He was about 30% cheaper than several local dealers in Houston and easy to get a hold of. Whole process took less than 5 minutes.

Guys, thank for all these contacts. Bought a brand new C class back in the day and I am today buying my first 2012 CPO ML350 4MATIC. It has 43k miles on it and and we only drive 6-7k miles per year so don’t anticipate putting too much mileage on the vehicle. It comes with one year unlimited miles warranty but thinking about extending for another 2 years. Any suggestions on current ML owners that bought CPO on how much to pay and consider? Stretching to buy the car so hoping to be aggressive on pricing of warranty.

1) If you are the original owner of an MB, and the 4 yr/50k has not expired, you can buy an ELW from MB to extend the years of ttl coverage up to 7, and the ttl miles up to 100k.
https://www.mbfs.com/mbfsr/en/faqs/f...tedWarranty.do
2 If you buy a CPO, the original warranty is extend to 5 yrs/Unlimited miles. You can buy a 6th yr/unlimited miles, and a 7th yr/unlimited miles, before the 5th yr of coverage has expired. If you don't buy the extra CPO coverage within 30 days of purchase, it will cost an extra 15%, though as you have seen, everything is negotiable.
https://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/cpo#waypoint=cpo-warranty&faqgroup=extended_limited_warranty&state= opened&faqid=extended_limited_warranty&faqname=ext ended_limited_warranty
(scroll down to first FAQ)
As you can see in the FAQ, even MB uses the term ELW when describing the CPO warranty.
It does not seem that you can extend the coverage past 7 ttl yrs/100k miles with an ELW. It also seems you can't go more than 7 ttl yrs with the CPO, though you have unlimited miles during those 7 yrs.
Or I'm wrong on all counts.

Just bought the 2 year extension from Jeff Jackson. Totally easy to work with and gave me the best price! Other two I contacted were competitive on price but came down to price and Jeff couldn’t be beat (about 30% cheaper than retail price). Highly recommend you call him and save time. He’s at Tafel Motors.

Sprinter motorhome
I recently purchased an ELW for my Sprinter based RV. Original new vehicle warranty 3 year 36000 miles. Picked up additional 4 year and total 175,000 mile ELW from Jeff Jackson at jjackson@tafelmotors.com
Since there was no sales tax, overall saved almost $1000 off MSRP . Interesting that in Florida, by law dealer here cannot discount the cost of Extended warranties.
Jeff is very easy to work with, explains the details and the process went pretty quickly.
