FIDELITY EXTENDED WARRANTY PLANS FOR PURCHASE
I own a 2014 e63-s sedan. My factory warranty ended 10/31. I purchased a FIDELITY PLATINUM plan from Troy Dietrich of Toyota and Ford of Greenfield. As many of you know, Fidelity is the underwriter for many of the extended warranty plans sold by various dealerships. I bought a similar warranty from Troy for my 2012 r8v10 before I sold it. Prior to buying the r8 warranty, I asked a good friend of mine who is a master tech at my local MB dealership whether Fidelity was a good company for claims, etc. He said that they never give the dealership any issues for warranty claims submitted to them (fidelity) and that many customers who purchase extended warranties from the MB dealership are actually purchasing Fidelity plans.
Below is the pricing he quoted me for my 2014 e63 amg-s sedan with ~30k on the clock: Vehicle: 2014 Audi Mercedes E63 AMG with 25,001 - 35,000 miles. Fidelity Platinum w/ $100 deductible 2 yr / 24K - $1730.00 3 yr / 36K - $2346.00 4 yr / 48K - $3082.00 5 yr / 60K - $3704.00 6 yr / 60K - $4138.00 6 yr / 72K - $4595.00 Fidelity Platinum w/ $250 deductible 2 yr / 24K - $1443.00 3 yr / 36K - $1971.00 4 yr / 48K - $2627.00 5 yr / 60K - $3187.00 6 yr / 60K - $3501.00 6 yr / 72K - $3760.00 Keep in mind that time/mileage on these are effective from the current date and mileage, so a 6 yr / 60K plan would cover you until Sept. 2023 or 90,000 total miles if you’re at 30K now. The pricing I got from Troy beat the pants off of what my Audi dealer offered on the r8 and what I've seen online re: MB dealer-sold warranties. I've not had to use my warranty (on either car yet), but I feel totally comfortable that the plan will take care of whatever might come up. Hopefully I won't have to use it. Give troy a call or email him. He's a nice guy and can sell for most makes including VW. Audi, Porsche and MB. Thanks for the info. Will reach out to Troy and see what type of quote he can provide. Since MB is not one of his brands sold, have you found any limitations on where you can take the car for service? Assume MB dealers are approved service locations.
