Reported issue before warranty expired, but appointment after expiry
I noticed there is a creaking noise on the front driver side control arm of my car so I booked an appointment, not knowing that my ELW (24 month comprehensive coverage) expired in 5 days (now i only have 12 month powertrain coverage remaining). The appointment was 3 weeks after the comprehensive coverage expired and the service advisor who has been good to me thus far said he would need to speak to the service manager about replacing the part before doing so. They had a tech come out and take a look at the noise and confirmed it's the control arm or radial something...
I haven't heard back yet but just wanted to check if anyone has had a similar experience and how it was handled?
I would assume they would have some sort of unwritten goodwill policy.
