A few years ago, I bought an 04 E55 and fell in love with Mercedes. Yesterday, I bought this 2015 CLS 63S. It's got a stage 1 Eurocharged tune and GTHaus catback exhaust. Only 68k miles! Pics are from the previous owner.

I was a diehard E series fan until I saw a CLS in person. My kid who still has to ride in the backseat is a huge fan bc of the console back there lol

So I've been getting check engine light at times, other times it goes away. Most recent code was p2099 but I was watching short term fuel trims, they were somewhat erratic jumping around up and down. Checked for vacuum leaks, nothing apparent. I have changed the vacuum check valve on the driver's side rear valve cover and check valve appears to be working correctly. What I did see that appeared a bit strange is that scanner tells me that downstream catalytic temps should be 750+ and mine are lower, 650ish. Does anyone think I need o2 sensors? Maybe something else?

Hey,
I have an issue with cyl #5 which extremely misfires, has rough idle.
Engine had wall scoring so I rebuilt it. New cylinder sleeves, pistons, rings, both heads refreshed, conrod and crankshaft bearings, timing etc. It's ALMOST brand new :D
Checked resistance to all four cam solenoids to ECU - OL.
I checked resistance from the coil and fuel injector connectors to the ECU, which was the same as #6.
I also checked resistance from the O2 sensor before cat - same as the other side.
I ALSO checked ECU as I have another one programmed to the car.
Swapped injectors and coils.

Right now I'm facing cam position sensor fault. Checked and confirmed it is the sensor (swapped from intake to exhaust and code also transfered).
But I don't think that cam sensor should only turn off cyl. #5 - that would be weird.
Before rebuild it was also misfiring at #5 throwing injector code at that time if I remember correctly.
There was some oil at the solenoids connectors (before rebuild)
No visible smoke from exhaust.

Before start I cleared all the faults. It tries to find a "good" spot to idle but fluctuates from 850 to 1000RPM and then throws CEL.
Still on investigation but would love to hear some advice.

I'm currently looking into my next interior upgrade: Bang & Olufsen style 3D rotating tweeters with synchronized ambient lighting.I see many 'Plug & Play' kits from China online, but I'm hesitant regarding the technical side. Has anyone here installed these in a W218? I’m specifically wondering:Sound Quality: How is the sound dispersion and clarity of the speakers included in these kits? Are they a downgrade compared to the stock Harman Kardon tweeters?Speaker Swap: Is it possible (or recommended) to swap the Chinese driver for a high-end one (like Focal or Match) while keeping the rotating mechanism?Ambient Light Sync: Does the color synchronization work perfectly with the 2011 Pre-Facelift ambient lighting (3 colors), or are there flickering/delay issues?Would love to hear if these are just for 'show' or if they actually maintain a good soundstage!"

In tne forums here I understand that the camber is non-adjustablhe. My questioning may be silly but when it came from the factory was it not in spec? Meaning was it set properly. And if the other question then is my car has 72,000 mi. Would it be adisible to just put a camber arm, 8n Case the bushings are thrown camber off which right now it's sitting at 2.2 after I took it to the shop for an alignment.

Hi all,
I’m looking for some advice on diagnosing electrical issues on a flood‑damaged 2016 Mercedes CLS 3.0 Diesel.
Background
The car was involved in flooding, with water mainly entering the passenger‑side footwell and a small amount on the driver’s side. The water level wasn’t very high.
After the flood:

The car stalled
The engine seized
The vehicle was left standing for several months before I purchased it

At the moment, I’m only working on the electrical side before touching the engine.
Work completed so far

Full interior removed
Carpets removed
All trapped water drained
Vehicle thoroughly dried
Most water damage was clearly on the left (passenger) side.

Electrical symptoms (intermittent)

Instrument cluster flickers, mainly with key in position 2 (sometimes dims or goes completely blank)
Windows work intermittently and sometimes stall
Main infotainment screen does not work
Power seats do not work

Very occasionally, everything works normally, but this is rare.
CAN bus checks

Replaced the CAN bus star connectors on the passenger side
Driver‑side star connectors didn’t appear badly affected, so I cleaned them with electrical contact cleaner
Disconnected each CAN branch from the star connector and checked for shorts to ground

Shorts to ground found on:

N69/1 - Front Left Door Control Unit
N69/2 - Front Right Door Control Unit
N69/3 - Rear Left Door Control Unit
N69/4 - Rear Right Door Control Unit
N73 - Electronic Ignition Switch (EIS)
N30/4 - ESP ABS Module

When the corresponding module is unplugged, the short to ground disappears on that branch.
Door modules
All four door control modules show a short to ground, which seemed unlikely. To rule out a bad module, I installed a brand‑new door module, but the short to ground remains.
Common link noticed
The common factor appears to be:

All affected circuits run through Connector 7i on the Front SAM
N73 is also routed to 7i via Connector 11c

No corrosion at front or rear sam, the wires and sams look as good as new.

Any advice on next diagnostic steps would be appreciated.

I've attached:

Wiring diagrams for all affected modules
Front SAM wiring
CAN bus topology spreadsheet
Thanks in advance.

Hello folks ! I'm new to this forum and I really love the situation here since I was using this forum without being registered here.

I'm interested if it's available to activate/deactivate any parameter using vediamo/dtsm to get faster, or even instant gear switch logic on vgs4nag2 module, I was told that it was possible to do that way and I did it on my past car (W212 2014 E350), by setting Getriebe to NAG2 Sport instead of NAG2, but there was one con, when I was switching gear in Manual mode, rev arrow was so glitchy, it was simultaneously going up and down in the moment of gear switch. I could not solve it and I've made it back to NAG2. If anybody knows, is there any way to overridde such situation by enabling/disabling any parameter besides Getriebe or is there any other way to make switches faster in M mode besides TCU Tune ?

Thanks for your answers !
