My 2021 C63 coupe (M177) has oil in 2 spark plug holes, one per bank.
I want to re-seal them but I don't have a lift.
I've done the oil separators (removed front bumper, AC/radiator package to do it), and I know that's a prerequisite to removing the front covers from the valve covers/cylinder heads.
I'm just not sure there's clearance to pull the valve covers off.
Has anyone removed and re-sealed their valve covers without removing the engine from the car?

Hey guys, I recently brought a new 700kms on the clock final edition 2023 c63s. I also used to have a 2018 model stage two. Been driving the FE for a week now but noticed I can’t fully turn off traction control, and their is no drift mode or anything like that I can access or launch control? Tired all the on line instructions but won’t work. With traction off at setting 10 which is off it still won’t fully lose traction, I also noticed I can’t rev the car over 4000rpm while in park or neutral? Kind of strange but wondering if anyone had any ideas. Cars in Australia. Cheers

Hi people, this will be a lengthy and juicy one.
I have a Mercedes 2016 C63 S

It only has catless down pipes.
I’m trying to work out whether I’m dealing with a cracked head/head gasket issue or something else in the cooling system. About 2 months ago I had the thermostat and water pump replaced. It was driving well when one night it kept saying low coolant. I would top it up drove around for 15-20 min and it would say it again. If I turned off the car the coolant would drop rapidly again but I can’t see any coolant leaks??? If I leave the coolant cap off and let it run to operating temperature the coolant gurgles and bubbles over the reservoir.

I thought maybe the system needed to be bled properly. I took it to my mechanic he said he bled it 4-6 times and nothing changed. He reckons it’s a cracked head or a blown head-gasket which is weird because I don’t think these are renown for this issue at all! Can’t find anything on the internet regarding this issue.

There’s no milky oil
My coolant is still red
And there’s no smoke billowing out or misfires.

He’s taking it as the coolant is leaking back into the motor?? Or exhaust gases are getting into the coolant.

I let it idle for around 20 minutes and it stayed around normal operating temperature fine. The fans kicked on as normal, but when I pressed the accelerator and revved it a bit, the temperature started climbing and the fans became much louder. I’m not getting constant massive clouds of white smoke from the exhaust. I have noticed bubbling/pressure in the coolant reservoir at times, and I’ve been trying to bleed the cooling system for days in case there’s trapped air in it.

At this stage I’m trying to figure out whether this sounds more like a head gasket/cracked head problem or something like a thermostat, water pump, blocked radiator, airlock, or general coolant circulation issue.

Hi, I have a C63s that has power loss. The car gave me 3 codes: P13C700, The exhaust flap has an open circuit or other electrical faults. P140473, Exhaust flap 2 is faulty, does not open. P140471, Exhaust flap 2 is faulty. The actuator is blocked. I tried installing Mrt Proformance valve simulators after to maybe clear the codes, which it did for the 2 codes: P140473, Exhaust flap 2 is faulty, does not open. P140471, Exhaust flap 2 is faulty. The actuator is blocked. But my car is still throwing code for P13C700, The exhaust flap has an open circuit or other electrical faults. and has power loss. Has anyone experienced this and maybe knows a way to fix it?
Thank you

I just bought a 2018 C63s and I know that year doesn't have carplay available and initially I was just seeing the regular oem home screen. But now when I get in the car a different screen pops up that shows carplay as an option to click on (photo attached). I know the screen is still the oem one and I know there is an available module people can install that adds carplay to the oem screen. The issue I'm having though, is that when I click the carplay icon it says "please insert the iPhone!". I tried using a USB cord to connect my iPhone and nothing changes. Does anyone here have any experience with this? Can anyone recommend a solution?
Thanks in advance.

Newbie here and help needed. I have a 2017 C63s with 49k on the clock. i live in the UK. ONLY when the engine is warm temp wise the car hiccups randomly... sometime under acceleration or sometimes just driving along - the revs drop, you take your foot off the accelerator, the car resets, the revs pick up and away it goes (all within a second or two)..... someone mentioned to me this was the wet clutch issue but i'm not so sure. Any one got a bright idea as to what is happening and how to cure it???? as i say it only happens when the car engine is up to temp (when the cluster changes from blue temp numbers to white).

the above symptoms are becoming more frequent.....

Anyone have a detailed breakdown of the differences between various M177 variants (engine codes)?

I’ve read that there are different engine codes, like LS1 and LS2. I’ve also seen other codes, like M177.880 found in the latest SL and AMG GT. Is there a comprehensive list that outlines the differences? Or does anyone know the differences? I know they’ll make slight changes or modifications and/or improvements from model to model or year to year? I’m asking here because this is the most active AMG forum.
