My previous Cabriolet was an Audi and VW has had it share of diverter valve problems.

I noticed that Mercedes had specified a diverter valve that looks similar to the type that VW had problems with. However without looking at the procurement specifications or extensive testing it is not possible to verify that Mercedes specified the same material.

Having said that I was very happy with the DV+ diverter valve upgrade.

This upgrade is consistent with my desired outcome for my E400.

Here is how I would describe the DV+ on a stock tune: When driving with a light touch on the accelerator pedal any depression of the accelerator results in a noticeably faster response.

It just makes the E400 nicer to drive.

The DV+ is smaller but it is sealing fine in my E400. I didn’t measure the surface in the turbo but based on my results it seems to be able to accommodate either size.

For now I am running one DV+ and one Stock diverter valve.

When I have time I will install the second DV+

Take care

I was interested in installing some wheel spacers. Our 2018 E400 Cabriolet 4-Matic has the 18" stock non-staggered wheels with stock 245/45/R18 sized tires.
Has anyone had success with any sold as a kit of four spacers with the lug bolts included?

If so, what size would be okay to run without rubbing, handling issues or excess ware to the suspension components?

I'm reading Hub-centric type 5 x112 pattern with 66.6mm hubs spacers possibly sized at 12.5mm rear w/ 15mm front or 10mm rear w/ 12.5mm on the front, Seems some of the kits are sent out and folks are finding out some don't fit the front or rear or vice-versa. I don't know if it's because of the 4-Matic or larger front brake size or something other third thing. Thanks

The electric trunk divider was not working on my 2018 A238 E400 Cabriolet. You could move it manually up & down without it binding so I assumed the internal motor and gears were still good.

At first I looked at the red push button on the inner trunk lid. It lit up but tested intermittent at the switch leads. It looked a bit corroded so I disassembled it and cleaned the internal contacts. There are some very small parts inside that switch. I'd do not recommend taking it apart. Just soak it with some D5 switch cleaner or get a new one. The no electric up/ down divider problem still persisted.

I understand that the wiring harness in the rubber loom on the left side of the truck lid could be suspect as it flexs every time the trunk lid is opened and others have commented on finding broken wires inside that.

I had the left inner trunk cover pulled back to look at the back of the taillight when I checked the lower end of that rubber loomed trunk lid wire harness. Sure enough, lots of green & white corrosion was visible inside and one of the pins were broke off. I cleaned the connector ends with D5 and bypassed the broken pin wire in the connectors with an external 24 gauge wire. That fixed the electric divider so now it operates with the push button properly !
