Hey,

I bought a W124 E220 1996, late model with an M111.960 engine. It's Bosch HFM with wasted spark ignition.
I am going to rebuild the wiring harness but wanted to as if anybody can tell me if I'm using the right information please?
It is a UK car, wanted to know if there is a different version of the engine ECU drawing that I should be using.

My ECU part number is A0165455532, Bosch: 0261203230

Also, I think the HT lead connection should be 1&4 on the forward coil, 2&3 on the back?

Thanks!

Need Help Finding W124 Heater Core Metal Pipe Set - A0018302015

Update / Current Need:

To clarify the current situation, the evaporator was the original reason for this repair, and it has already been replaced. Since the HVAC box was already out, I also replaced the heater core as preventative maintenance. The HVAC box itself is good.

The only remaining issue is the metal heater core pipe set. The sealing ends on my original pipes have corrosion/pitting where they seal into the heater core.

At this point, I am looking for any of the following:

A supplier that may still have a new pipe set available

A good used pipe set from a parts car or donor HVAC box, as long as the sealing ends are clean

A proven long-term repair method for the original pipes, including sealing or permanently bonding them into the heater core

Any general advice from someone who has dealt with this repair or this specific sealing issue before

I am trying to avoid buying a complete used HVAC box unless it becomes the only realistic option, mainly because of the cost, shipping, and the risk that the used pipes could have the same corrosion issue.

If anyone has experience with this, I would appreciate hearing what worked, what did not work, what materials or sealants were used, and whether the repair held up long-term.

Hi everyone,
I’m hoping someone here may be able to help me track down a hard-to-find heater core pipe set for a 1995 Mercedes-Benz E320 W124 sedan.
Mercedes description: pipeline / heat exchanger pipes
These are the rigid metal pipes that plug directly into the heater core inside the HVAC/heater case. I am not looking for the external rubber heater hoses or the downstream heater hose assemblies.
The issue I’m running into is that the sealing ends on my original pipes are pitted badly enough that they will not seal reliably with new O-rings. I have already tried cleaning/polishing the pipe ends and testing different O-rings, but I have not been able to get a dependable seal.
I would be interested in either:

The pipe set by itself

A complete compatible heater box that still has good heater core pipe ends

Any solid leads on someone parting out a W124 with the dust-filter HVAC box

If anyone has one available, I’d really appreciate photos of the full pipe set and close-up photos of the O-ring sealing ends where the pipes insert into the heater core.
For reference, these are not the parts I need:
A1248305415
A1248306396
Those appear to be external/downstream heater hose assemblies, not the internal heater core pipe set.
Any help, leads, parts cars, or advice would be greatly appreciated. I know this is a pretty specific part, but I’m hoping someone in the W124 world has run into this before or has a spare heater box sitting around.
Thanks in advance.

My 1985 230e started experiencing issues a few months ago with rough idle, rpms dropping after rev, running rough with ac on, etc. I started by testing the fuel pressure on the top half of the distributer (don't have the proper tool to test pressure on bottom half) and it was getting 80 PSI but slowly dropping after. Replaced the injectors, replaced fuel distributer boot cause it was torn, confirmed there were no vacuum leaks also replaced fuel pump check valve and fuel accumulator.

after doing that work the fuel pressure now holds around 40 psi when the engine is shutoff and maintains the 80 psi while running.

but I am still having the same issues as before and am beginning to think that its something to with the electrical because I just noticed that the eha valve connector was covered in oil so i tried to unplug it only to find that the car runs the same with it plugged in on not. I had also found the same thing with the idle switch on the throttle cable linkage, no matter if its pushed down or not or unplugged it just doesn't do anything.

if anyone with knowledge of this system can help me out it would be greatly appreciated and thank you

Greetings, I have a technical question for M103 / KE-Jetronic owners: Does anyone know if the Bosch fuel pressure regulators 0438161001 and 0438161013 are truly interchangeable? I found some old forum posts saying the 0438161013 can be installed on an M103 without issues, but I haven’t found reliable technical documentation confirming it. I’m trying to understand if both regulators have the exact same pressure specifications/calibration or if there are internal differences that could affect fuel delivery on the KE-Jetronic system.

If anyone has tested both, compared pressures, or has Bosch documentation, I’d really appreciate the information.
