I got my Mercedes from a dealer right next to DC, 60 miles away and heavy traffic.. Here is my question: When I go in for routine service, or anything, if I take it to a closer dealer other than the one I bought it, the service department will see I didn't buy it from them, I bought it from a competitor. Do those dealers "look down" at me because I didn't buy the car from them? Difference in treatment? Yes I could take it to the purchase dealer 60 miles away, but that is going to be really really inconvenient. Thoughts? I am a long time BMW customer and considering getting my first MB. I cannot get over the design of the new 5 series which made me look into E450.

So far, I have not been able to find one with both Pinnacle and Airmatic packages in the dealer lot.

• What kind of % off MSRP is considered a good deal for custom orders? I usually can get 11-12% off with BMW if I am lucky, but worst case I get 9% off. How does it work with Mercedes?
• Do you think I should wait for the MY2027 to be unveiled? There are some rumors of facelift but I did find find any concrete proof.
• How reliable is the inline 6 that comes with the E450 and the general reliability? BMW has been stellar for me in the last decade. This part of Mercedes ownership is scaring me a bit if I am honest.
• What do you consider the must have options in the E450?

I’ve only had my car a few days and set up the suggested automatic heated seats & automatic cooling seats because they were easy.

The only one I’ve created from scratch so far is when arriving at home the car switches modes to electric (e53) and turns on the forward parking camera for pulling into the garage. Is there a financial argument for this package - considering they are throwing in free window tint? The promotional price is $2,000.00 (4-year coverage) Canadian.

My inclination is to say "no thanks" but maybe I'm missing something.

July allocation with a September delivery. There's currently no base price for the 2027 (only option prices), so I have no idea what the total is at this point, and it's also forcing me to take a package that I don't want. I'm not interested in the Driver's Assistance Package, but every time we tried to uncheck it in the ordering system, it wouldn't let us. Has anyone else experienced this, or have any insight here? It's not a make or break, but I don't want/need the package, and I'm not excited about having to pay an extra $1,950 for it.

A beep just makes me look around with no idea, especially when its on the proximity sensor, I have to take my eyes off the road or mirrors to the screen to figure out where it says the obstacle is. It would also be nice if when I was backing out of my driveway it didn't beep about the road itself as an obstacle. Grr.
