Problems with a EU 2000 facelift 320 w208 model oil level sensor. Ever since my oil level sensor went bad from I assume age almost 300000 km on the car. Having replaced it with a GEBE branded oil level sensor it read it wrong sometimes said ok, but most of the time said to add 2L even when it was measured on the dipstick to be at max. Noticed also that the rubber was very stiff as if it had sat on the shelf forever. After having replaced the sensor again through warranty I received a Febi Bilstein one that measures the oil level correctly always, but during a longer drive it always pops the reduce oil level in red. These always dissapeared when i've stopped the car, but I would like to fix the issue permanently. I'm wondering if the problem is still within the sensor and do I have to get the insanely overpriced OEM sensor? I noticed that after having stopped the car and waiting atleast 5 min to check through the instrument panel the oil level still reads that it should be reduced. Im wondering if the problem is even still electrical or a sensor problem. Feels as if the problem only shows when the engine warms to normal temp.

The oil has been renewed and im also having a tiny problem with starting the engine after it has been driven and cooled a bit for lets say 10 minutes it starts for about 3 seconds longer than usual. The pressure drops at warm temperatures I assume and the engine builds it up again when trying to start? Messing with the relay showed me that the cars pump works normally and builds the pressure, but for some reason when starting it does not pre pressurize the fuel rail like it should after it has sat for a day.

I'd appreciate any answers relating to the problems!

Hello forum members: Any advice or sourcing leads to replace the OEM audio/nav unit with a CarPlay capable system in a 2001 CLK 430 Cabriolet? I prefeer to hardwire my iPhone to a new system rather using Bluetooth. I realize bluetooth is an easier solution, but my preference is hardwiring to the phone. I have a shop in NJ that will do the installation, but they are leaving it up to me to source the new unit. I'm looking for a good system. I don't plan to swap out the speakers, or add any equipment other than a CarPlay capable system. Thank you.
was wondering if anyone could ID these wheel center caps that my old 320 coupe had. Got the wheels transplanted onto my 430 and noticed the caps were all gone. Sorry for the blurriness, this was the best photo i could find :(. The caps had a smooth resin surface with the older, fatter star emblem. Thank you all 👍👍

Hello, new to the forum...
My younger brother passed March 2025 and I am taking over his project car.
It's been garaged since 2019 but it runs and drives. I am trying to get it ready
for PA State Inspection.

The front and rear power windows do not work. I checked the fuses under the hood,
all 4 ok. New battery installed and maintained charge March 2026. I have a couple
spare window switches but they don't help. I have the driver door panel off now,
not sure where to go from here. The power seats work fine, as do the power mirrors.
A/C, lights, radio, signals, flashers, wiper all work.
There is power to the connector to the driver's side window motor, not sure yet
about the connectors to the switches on the console. The mirror switch on the console
does have power and it works. Can someone point me in the right direction please...
I'll appreciate any advice.

Hello
New member here.
I have a 2002 clk320 convertible. The sound system has the original bowes speaker, cd changer, etc.
Would like to upgrade the stereo so I have bluetooth from phone without altering the dash as I would like to keep it as original as possible.
Primary concern is that I would like to listen to music from phone, not concerned about speaking on phone as top is almost always down.

Any recommendations would be appreciated
Thanks
