Hello,

For this vehicle the transmission fluid change is supposed to be done every 40k miles. I did the 40k miles, but haven't done it since then. Now I am at 120k miles so I went 80k miles over the limit. Im short on funds, is the transmission fluid change really necessary? Can I wait another 40k miles? or do you guys think Im already damaging the transmission? It obviously drives nice, but Im worried about the transmission.

I never knew that Mercedes can lock the car in a permanent park position due to number of faults exceeded a certain limit (99).
ISM emergency redundant control system was engaged 99 times due an intermittent fault in CAN C communication network.
The vehicle starts, revs up, and fully functioning, except you can't shift the transmission out of park position, unless you pay the dealer $3000+ to sell me new ISM and EIS, the latter being the culprit of the intermittent CAN C failure, The EIS occasionally sends High can C signal that exceeds 4 VDC.

Fault code 179d85. Unthinkable!
Thinking outside the box, is there away to rip that silly shift handle out of the car, remove the ISM and connect the transmission shifting splined shaft to A manual shifting STICK knob mounted on the center console?
I know it would need to be a rotate stick. Right through the center of the cup holder....
Message to mercedes: When someone pays $84k for a mercedes, he should own it not rent it from mercedes.

I have a MB GL350 2011 and I was driving offroad in Australia. Continuously passing river crossings and pumping the car up to offroad level 3 and letting air out back to normal highway level a few times. Sometimes the compressor mentioned cooling down but it still worked. After a while I was driving on normal level sand and suddenly the complete body of the car sunk down to my tires. The complete airmatic system (air suspension system) collapsed with all four wheels touching the wheel arch / wheel housing. The car shows the malfunction sign in the dashboard. Compressor has been replaced two years ago, one of the airmatic bags was replaced last January and the other three have been replaced over the last 5 years (what the previous owner told me). Anyone have any idea what the problem could be and how I could solve this? Cheers

Last June, I had leaking air springs that inevitably led to replacing all four. My compressor was taking too long to fill the system, so that was replaced as well. Then I started getting wonky thing like only the front air springs deflating, which I had seen before, so I replaced the valve block. This was the third time I have replaced pretty much the entire system, so I feel like I have a good handle on trouble shooting these things.

Jump to a week or so ago, when the front two springs deflated inexplicably. Trouble shot with my scanner (not bi-directional or as good as I would like) and was misled to believe that it was a failed ride height sensor. Replaced both of the front ones and still get an error: Line Leak. So after further troubleshooting, I find that I never hear the compressor running. If I come out first thing in the morning, and start and try to raise the vehicle, the light will flash for a while, and then I get the "Malfunction" message on the dash. But no indication the compressor is active. I have tried swapping out the compressor with an old one, and no difference. I've checked/replaced the fuse and the relay, and nothing. Checked everywhere for leaks, but found nothing.

The most confusing part of the current situation is that it appears that the system is not sending power to the compressor at all, as if it is in a "protective" mode, yet, when I scan after clearing the line leak code, nothing new comes up. My scanner doesn't show any pressures, just the various codes, and the feedback from the ride height sensors.

Thanks in advance!
