Hey guys my foot brake/parking brake keeps getting stuck and wont release or spring back when i pull the hand catch, i already replaced the whole assembly with a new one about 3 years back and already it's stuck to the floor again and barely releasing. Is there an aftermarket kit or fix for this to make it stronger? i dont get why my E550 has never had this problem but my C63 is plauged by it. Indy wants $550 to replace the assembly.

I'm trying to repair my ABS module since these are almost impossible to find on the used market for AMG. I already tried soldering all of the pins, but the issue did not resolve.

What other steps do the rebuild services take? Do they replace certain mosfets, caps, or resistors? Any help would be appreciated!

Hey guys,

I’m currently searching for a very clean Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Edition 507 sedan (W204, 4-door) and wanted to see if anyone would be able to help me source one.

My ideal specifications are:

* 2014–2015 C63 AMG Edition 507
* Sedan / 4-door
* Preferably under 20,000 miles
* Clean title and clean Carfax
* No accidents or paintwork if possible
* Stock or lightly modified examples only
* Well-maintained with documented service history

I am a serious buyer and willing to pay a reasonable finder’s fee.

If you currently have anything available, know of one coming in soon, or can assist with sourcing, I would appreciate any details, photos, pricing information, or Carfax reports you can share.

You can also contact me directly via WhatsApp for faster communication +971526000065
So my car has been away for a long time. Long story but she's finally right and ripping again.

Just got her back yesterday. Today as I was looking around the interior for spots to place toggle switches for my diff and aux trans coolers, I noticed that my "carbon" AC surround looked funny...
Uh oh. I've skinned a bunch of carbon trim pieces. You have to sand down and rough up the OEM part to get the surface to take the carbon skin and epoxy while also not being larger dimensionally than the OEM trim piece. The OEM trim piece as you can see here is untouched. That's a bad sign. Let's keep picking...
Bro. That's a fukin carbon sticker. I'm surprised it didn't peel away earlier, this has been on for 7 or 8 years.

Now normally I'd chalk this up if I had bought from a shady probably Chinese vendor and got scammed oh well.

My problem here is that this part was made by a member here who was really well-known for making beautiful carbon trim pieces for our cars. I have a bunch of his stuff, and now it's all suspect. I have all the emails and receipts. I paid $200 for just this piece of garbage in 2018.

Now that I'm looking at it more carefully, I think he was probably just mass-producing these thin overlay skins from a mold on their own - clearly without actually individually skinning and keying/sanding the OEM trim piece donors he received - instead just gluing them on with a thin superglue or something (although there's no evidence of any kind of glue residue here).

I've reached out to him for an answer to this and am awaiting a response. Just thought I'd park this here for now and see what the community thinks.

Serious questions here. Is this on me? Did I expect too much? Should I have asked more detailed questions? I mean, we paid what was reasonable compared to OEM, but still quite a premium price for these pieces. He says that these things take hours to make and that's just completely misleading - this is just not how you skin a trim piece properly. It's an overlay. I just wish I had known because I wouldn't have bought them if I knew they were produced like this. Even my eBay Chinese carbon steering wheel trims are properly skinned (less expensive), as is all my MACarbon stuff (about the same cost).

I'm not even really that pissed, just super disappointed because I thought this guy was one of the good ones.

Last week was surreal as after 15 years of dreaming of preFL c63, I finally took one home. Lots of helpful threads here that helped me finding the right one and walking away from 3 others. But hey, I plan on holding on to this car for a while so it was worth it.

The one I got was as unmolested as possible, but last owner decided to put horrendous Chinese black badges all around and now I’m stuck searching for OG ones.

I need:
X1 trunk C63
X1 trunk MB emblem
X1 trunk AMG (OLD style with A being written like /‾\ and not like /‾|)
X2 side 6.3 AMG badges (left and right)
X4 wheel badge Mercedes logo insert

Does anyone know OG codes for these parts and, as a backup, maybe there’s a trusted place to get high quality stock looking badges?

Hello Mercedes fam! I want to get these for my 2012 C63 as i heard these are the best with the most adjustability and control from inside the cabin too. Anyone here installed these or know anything about them? I want to know if the install process is straightforward or if i will need anything additional? How much of an improvement over stock are these really going to be? I'm stuck between the V3 and the DDC not sure which to get. Finally i want a shop that knows what they are doing for this install, does anyone know a reputable shop in CA that can install them and any guesses on what is a fair price? Leaning V3 but idk...

Thank you for your guidance!

I have a set of 2009 C63 AMG seats in my W203 C230.

The seats have worked fine for several years, but about two weeks ago, the lumbar support bladders deflated. I am not certain, it seemed like the top lumbar support bladder deflated first. When I attempted to reinflate it, the lower support deflated.

When I press the lumbar controls, I can hear the pump run and the bladders inflate to a minimal degree but lose pressure as soon as I stop pressing the controls. The side bolsters inflate and deflate as they always have.;

I've found some information on lumbar failure and repair, but the threads I've found focus on wiring issues. I spent some time with ChatGPT attempting to diagnose the problem. Given my seat's symptoms it identified three possible failure points: 1. The valve block that controls the flow of air; 2. The lumbar air bladders; and 3. An air line. Base on ChatGPT's initial advice, I bought the components that you can see below.

I made the purchase based on erroneous advice from ChatGPT. Specifically, chat told me: Common part number used across W204/W212 front seats: A000‑910‑51‑02 (vacuum/valve control module for seat lumbar).This is not correct. Note that the valve I bought has three air lines. ChatGPT later said that the correct valve has 6 air lines total. This makes sense to me because the extra lines are needed to support inflation and deflation of the side bolster. Chat told me (I believe also incorrectly) that the 6‑port version is labeled A 000 910 51 02 BR204 or A 000 910 52 02. Searching on those part numbers returns information on the lumbar bladders, not the valve.

Unfortunately, I am reluctant to disassemble the seat myself because I am concerned about damaging the leather. This means that I can't verify the cause of the failure or see part numbers of the components.

I visited two upholstery shops. Neither of the two techs I spoke with had worked on a C63 seat. However, one of the techs was familiar with Mercedes seats and had replaced lumbar support bladders in several of them. He told me that he had never heard of the valve failing and his experience and my description of the failure symptoms led him to believe that it was the problem was with the lumbar bladders. If he is right, the fact that I have the wrong valve is not a significant problem.

My concern is that if I do need the valve, I don't have a good option for finding the correct one for a C63 seat. I spoke to one recycler that had some C63 seats that were in poor condition. I asked if they would sell components, but they only want to sell entire seats. The other recycler didn't have C63 seats.

Here are my questions:
1. Has anyone had a similar problem?
2. If you had this problem, how did you solve it?
3. Does anyone have a source for W204 C63 seat components?

Planning to replace cams and lifters on my c63 (m156). I’ve gathered most of what I need, but a few things are unclear. So any advice on this would be greatly appreciated

I understand that exactly 40° TDC is important. But in order to get a detailed view of the marking on the engine block, the serpentine belt and support pulley need to be removed. But is this really necessary?
My plan was to inspect the mark using a borescope, set the crank slightly before 40°, and then slowly rotate it to 40° while attempting to insert the rear cam locking tool until it sits flush.
If it does not sit flush after clearly passing 40°, I assume I would need to rotate the crank another 360° because the cams would be on the wrong phase.
So basically my question is: isn’t the fact that the rear locking tool sits flush the most important factor- > if I can see through the borescope that the marks align and the rear locking tool sits flush, shouldn't that be sufficient?

I’ve read that sometimes the rear locking tool sits perfectly flush at 40° on one bank, but the other doesn’t. What is the correct procedure then?

Since I have a FL, I assume I have the adjusters with the non-threaded locking hole for the adjuster locking tool. However, when the front locking bridge is installed, it seems impossible to fit both tools simultaneously.
I’ve seen YT videos claiming that as long as the adjuster gear remains engaged with the sprocket, timing and preload are effectively retained. Based on that, my understanding is that you could: install the front locking bridge and rear cam locking tool, loosen the center bolt without fully removing it (thereby keeping the adjuster engaged with the sprocket), remove the front locking bridge, install the adjuster locking tool, and then fully remove the center bolt and adjuster. The question is: is this correct or can something inside the adjuster still move although both gears are connected to the sprocket? If so I could just insert a pin with the same thickness of the tool into the hole since the gears are already locked via de sprocket

Is the front locking bridge required for removal, or mainly for installation/alignment of the trigger wheel?

When tightening the center bolt with all locks in place, is there still a risk of the adjuster moving and affecting crank position?

Can the adjuster be installed in any rotational position, or does the front locking bridge enforce a fixed orientation?
I know that if installed top down the locking hole would be at the wrong side etc, but does it matter if the the adjuster is installed like 10 degree more to the left or right than it initially was, will something prevent this from happening

What assembly lube/oil should be used for cams, journals, lifters, and adjusters?

When removing cams, there is oil trapped inside. I can assume it can simply be poured back into the engine?

I don't have an adjuster rattle (car has 70k miles) so the idea was to check if the cams are properly locked prior removal and visually inspect them.
But it turns out ok I would leave them be. I guess that doesn't hurt or is there a rule that they need to be done at the same time with cams/lifters?

Viewing a pre-FL W204 C63 saloon Sunday. Would appreciate a sanity check from anyone who's been around these.

Car: 2010 pre-FL saloon, standard (no PP/PPP), 60k miles, 5 keepers, engine 60-061585 (post head-bolt-fix). Near-continuous MB main dealer FSH 2011–2023, indie MB specialist 2023, owner DIY oil + filter with genuine MB-spec 0W-40 in 2024. Last MOT Dec 2025: front ball joints + ARB links done. Outstanding advisories: brake pipe corrosion, rear subframe bushes split. Owner claims "completely stock." £18k.
My checklist covers: cold-start cam adjuster rattle and lifter tap, engine number verification, oil cap and coolant mayo check, intake manifold colour, plastic pulleys, engine mounts, fluid levels, underside brake pipes / bushes / exhaust / weeps, test drive for gearbox shudder / misfires / temperature stability, interior wear vs mileage, full service book and invoices, V5C and keys.Where I'd value input:

At 60k with this service pattern, anything you'd push hard to inspect that I'm missing?

7G-Tronic at 60k with no documented gearbox service ever — risk profile? Deal-breaker if it shudders under load?

Cam adjusters at 60k on this maintenance — statistically due, or do well-serviced examples make 100k+?

Happy to share findings post-viewing. Thanks.
