Wagyu beef online order

Hello,
This should be the right section to post but I wonder if anyone would ever enter here and read my post?

Anyway, does anyone have a recommendation for online order of Wagyu beef?
Google suggests dozen places but I wish to hear some real world ordering experience.

Thank you.

Arby's New Hamburger LOL

No but really, I think it best only to get wagyu from a great steakhouse.

The Arby's Wagyu Burger is a blend, not 100%. I prefer In-N-Out, Whataburger with Green Chile and Bacon, or a Toro Burger from West Texas.

Omaha Steaks and Kansas City Steaks are popular in the States. I hear some Beefeaters actually prefer Kobe Steak over Wagyu. Allenbrothers.com delivers Japanese A5 Wagyu overnight. Not sure about Hong Kong Taxes and Fees or if Hong Kong has import restrictions on meat.

Good Luck OP!

Thanks for the suggestions.
I actually want to order not for myself (as it is available abundantly locally here in HK) but for friends and relatives residing in the US.
Just visited your 3 suggestions' website.
a. Omaha Steaks is too smart. It detects my IP address in HK and tells me they do not deliver outside of the US. So, no business for them.
b. Kansas City Steaks and Allenbrothers.com allow me to get into the shopping area. Just sent them emails asking if they would accept foreign credit card for payment.
I notice that some business in the US are just not set up to take international business. And I have Paypal too, which does not seem popular enough with these online steak stores.

So when do you need me to send you my ship to address?
:naughty: LOL

That is a great idea for presents - My father would send me an OMAHA steak gift box every year for xmas.... it was very nice.
But allen bros I think would be the better of the 2 based on long ago experiences.

Another idea would be a gift card to a great steakhouse in their city be it Mortons, Ruth Chris, etc etc

I tell ya I find the high end local ones to be the best again Pappas Brothers in HOuston/Dallas
Chicago Prime was awesome

Good Luck and dayum now I have to go buy xmas gifts

I have emailed some 8 online steak stores on the same day and all have responded except Allenbrothers!
First responses are Crowd Cow and Holy Grail, both making into my final short list.
Will pre-order soon so that the gifts will arrive before Christmas.

Allenbrothers is still a no-show. Do not understand why they do not respond.
Anyway, finally picked Holy Grail for this round.
If the actual delivery and meat quality meet expectation, I will be their regular customer.

Followup:-
Holy Grail is in California and the delivery addresses are in NY and SC.
Deliveries were right on spot on 22nd Thursday, with the meat ready to be enjoyed on the following few holidays!
Just beat the east coast snowy frigid weather!
Recipients are all happy!

Will do.
One of my niece is ''super excited''.
She is a good cook. Actually my nephew is also a good cook and I look forward to hear from them.

Yeah, ''selling like hot cakes'' should be 2022 modernized to ''selling like wagyu beef''...lol
Christmas is the busiest time of the entire year for this online steak order business.
That is why pre-ordering is important if you want to make sure you have your pick available plus your pick being delivered on time.
But the closer to the 'deadline', the higher 'discount' there is. So, it is like playing the musical chair game.
So, one has to decide which is more important, a 10 or 15% discount or having a wide variety of choices.

Epilogue:
My recipients said both the delivery and the wagyu beef are good. Packages were well packed and arrived on time. Meat quality is excellent, juicy and tender and melted in your mouth.
My expectation is reached.
So, I will be a repeated customer of Holy Grail, with Crowd Cow as backup in case Holy Grail is out of stock.

A few mouth watering pics should round up this wagyu beef online ordering experience well.
For the record, I mainly ordered this ''World Tour 3-pack'' for them. 3 pieces of wagyu beef (1 from Japan, US and Australia each).

I'm glad I found this thread back in December because I too was looking for suggestions... I got the Holy Grail American Wagyu and Prime sampler (4 steaks, 2 ribeyes and 2 strips) as a gift for a friend over the holidays and I got similar feedback - great packaging and the quality of the meat was also very good.

Thank you for your response.
Good that your experience with them is also a positive one.
A 2nd firsthand opinion is always useful.

My ratings:-
Delivery/Packaging - 10 out of 10
Meat quality - 10 out of 10
Online Ordering - 9.5 out of 10. I take half a point out as there was a slight annoyance. It seems that their ordering alogirthm does not allow multiple delivery addresses within a single order. So, when one places an order to send to five different addresses, one has to go through the ordering process five times to place 5 separate orders. It is like you take a party of five to a steak house, and when it is time to have the check, you have to pay five times, once for each family members.

Browsing the site and saw this thread… a couple sites I have bookmarked if they help. Good reviews from other sites I visit.
