Should I...?
I have been looking at couple SUV's lately for long trips, transporting my dog and my family..On my way home I saw a white G500 and I thought seriously about it because I wasn't pleased with the other SUVs I have looked at. Are there any owners out there who can tell me what they like/dislike about their G's? also, is it worth the extra cash for the 55? Your help will be deeply appreciated. Thank You.

i've been seriously considering my first G.
the 55 is the only way to go. you get that ramp and emergency power for those times you know you'll need it. and while the AMG premium is not insignificant, realizing the acceleration you need is unavailable will leave you with significant remorse.
that said, i'm now thinking about the new supercharged range rover sport, which i believe is 7.2 sec to 60 mph. it's a snail compared with the G55k, but it has benefits the G may not have.
do you have opinions about the rover and the new LR3?

Actually I was thinking about a Range Rover and my sales person suggested the Supercharged, but I don't think want a car with that type of a depreciation. I don't know much about the LR3.

after visiting the local dealer down here, i came away rather liking the exteriors of both the LR3 and the NA range sport. (the SC sport wasn't yet on lot.) but the sport moreso.
i intend to visit the dealer again perhaps early saturday to drive them.
i'd appreciate the benefit of your thoughts about rover depreciation and especially relative to G depreciation.
