Heated steering wheel?

I was just browsing some of the previous posts, and people mention the heated steering wheel for the 2003. Can someone give me some information on this? I am pretty sure my 2003 doesn't have a heated steering wheel, unless I am missing something...

Im not sure but I believe it is standerd for 2003 G500's. To activate it...there is a knob I think under the turn signal stock that you twist the end to heat the wheel.

I doubt this very much because the new G's have wood and leather steering wheel and this combo is not usually heated because the heat would have to come through the wood. Check your sources.

This seems like a pretty good source:

Multifunction heated steering wheel (standard)

I believe only the leather part is heated, which for me is OK... I don't keep my hands on the wood part.

This is also why the 2003 has a new design steering wheel (as opposed to the old W210/W208 style).

2003 G's have heated steering wheels. My steering wheel is leather and wood, only the leather part is heated. The switch is located at the end of the stalk that provides the tilt/telescoping control for the steering wheel. To activate the heater you have to turn the end forward. A red light located at the end of the stalk should come on to let you know that the heater is on.

Well, i found the wheel heater. I guess I missed this feature when reading the manual. Only thing is that it doesn't really get too warm.

You're posting that during summer in New York. Wait 6 months and see if it is warm enough for you!

I wonder if the interior space is good in the G500? I have never sit in one and the dealer here would get one only on order. And I saw a few on the road, they sure don't look very big too me.
