Electric Beam
Anyone receive their electric beam yet? My dealer says mine has just been allotted a boat and that this color is the last to be produced that's why it's not here yet. Not sure how long till I get it

Limited Production
Less than 200 unit a year or they are doing like the SLS for 3 years ?
Official USA Pricing isn't out yet, however I expect it to be just north of $250,000. I can't imagine it costing more than $275,000, however.
It is going to be extremely limited production (<200), so if you haven't placed an order yet, definitely get one in before the end of December.

When I left MBUSA in February, there were just under 300 built/in production/scheduled...with the new allocations being awarded, I have to assume that the number is above 300 now (USA).

When I said few posts ago that asking price for 4*4 at the MB dealer is about $50k over MSRP some people start laughing saying that is crazy.
Here we are today just browsing to see if there're some 4*4 for sale at non MB dealer and just what i assumed it happened. People start flipping them already at $50K over MSRP.

It is interesting that one post on this thread used the analogy of a baseball player's salary. In fact, that's who ended up buying the unit I had the deposit on but directly from the dealer at MSRP.

I hear people complain about how much baseball players (or players in other sports or entertainers in general) make all the time. Ironically, this includes people who pay for season tickets to the Boston Red Sox who are obviously doing their part to support those salaries. As long as teams are selling out the majority of games and making tons of money via TV contracts and other revenue streams, those crazy salaries are going to stay. If enough people decide ticket prices are too high and stop going, salaries would probably be forced down. Given that many teams still have waiting lists for season tickets, my prediction is that the salaries aren't going down...

There are 14 of them for sale currently including 8 untitled ones on auto trader and more of them continue to arrive daily.

@Kash: I think so, my local dealer callled me this week to see if I'm still interested in the 4x4^2. He said I can get any color I want. I told him I think I've settled on the G550 basic model. In any case, autotrader shows 14 for sale.

One reason is the availability of the quilted leather seats. Not only do they look great, they're also more comfortable. My understanding is that they have more padding in them. Whatever the reason, I've found them to be significantly better so far.
Next, while the engine in the G550 is no slouch, I've been amazed at the difference the extra power makes in the G63. The only downside is that fuel economy does suffer a bit (at least around town), which means driving range also suffers which might be a bit annoying on longer trips. I haven't gone on any long trips in the G63 yet; it's quite likely that the mileage is closer if it's mostly highway driving.
Finally, the suspension tuning on the G63 is significantly better IMHO; even compared to the adjustable suspension option on the G550 (which my 2016 had). It's a slightly rougher ride than the G550 when driving on bad roads, but otherwise it's a huge improvement. Highway driving is probably the area where the most improvement will be noticed as it doesn't feel like it's wandering around anywhere near as much.

There are a lot on Autotrader and eBay and they're going for list. They don't command any sort of premium. And I wonder why anyone would blow $250k+ on this when the all new G-Wagon (and a 4x4 2 variant) will be out this year.

What people are asking and what they are getting = two different things. I can't document one deal over MSRP with my many contacts. Two sold at my dealer at MSRP. I saw one in person...its weird IMHO. Perhaps a good conversation piece if you are looking to burn $240K.
