My business partner took delivery of his yesterday. We went to dealership 2 years ago to sign up for it. Paid MSRP. It's a beast. The Edition 1 is as great as we expected. It's blacker than it looks in photos.

Has anyone heard that the delay on delivery was due to American insurance companies forcing Mercedes to reflash the ECU of AMG models because Mercedes have been under-rating the horse power ratings of these models and
had to flash the computer to the horsepower rating quoted in their literature in order to receive certification for the road in North America.
A seasoned AMG salesman told me this .Renntech was the source of the power discrepancy figures.

I heard through corporate on the phone, and by brabus a month and a half ago that some cars needed to have their catalityc converters replaced physically. There was probably a ton of issues that caused the delays
Has anyone done any mods yet? Mine is in the shop for emblem blackout, reflector blackout, tinted taillights and windows.

All my G-wagons come with almost 60 Km on the clock when I receive them.
Do have you or anyone else have similar mileage on the clock on delivery?
I always wonder if some test driving goes on before I receive them.
I'm such a fanatic I don't let the delivery touch my truck before delivery beyond PDI.
I want my trucks as it rolled off the carrier.They fight me a bit but they always relent.

I have a patient in corporate MB Canada, and he told me an e-mail tonight that the delay (at least for Canadian G63's) was due to having to re-flash the ECU.
Made me thing what I heard from salesman (patient) could be correct. But as we all know we really never know for sure.

Oh ok. Looked very much like selesele grey which is what I ordered. I kind of wish I would have gotten graphite after seeing yours.
I am in Canada, and I think the 12.3 screen is standard here for the instrument cluster based on the option sheet that I got. You have to ask for the analog specifically.
