Winter tires for a G63 2019
Fact is, anyone planning on putting winter tires on a g63 equipped with 22” wheels (depending on your spec) will shortly realize that there’s in fact no one that makes a tire for that size. If I’m not mistaken the tire size is 285/22/45. (Could be 295 but I could be wrong). Are most of you going to be buying secondary wheels for winter ? I’ve found a small solution, going with some pirelllis that should stretch if anything my dealer told me.

The 2019 G63 with 22 inch wheels comes with 295/40 R22 tires and the rims are 10 inch wide. Pirelli makes a 275/40 R22 Scorpion Winter tire that should fit those rims just fine and the diameter difference is less than 2%.

I would be very interested in seeing that combination. Perhaps going even with a dark charcoal color would help showcase the design. satin black often loses a lot of detail in the wheel, especially through photos.

Soon: 2020 G63 Currently: 2016 GLE63 SUV + 97 F250HD, Before: 2013 G550, Range Rover Sport, 1984 CJ7
I am getting a set of 20" - probably the new "AMG off- road" package 20" wheels offered on the 2020 model. I'll use the 20"s with Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2s. Nothing expect chains / studs will be better in snow I think. This site will have the wheels in the coming months but they have the rest now: http://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/mer.../all/price_asc

According to the door sign, The front is 38 and the rear 49 psi.
Adding air in hot vehicle , so the front is 40 psi and the rear is 51 psi.
the correct tire pressure is IN COLD MODE, that means you should check the pressure in the morning before ignition.
America Tire adding air with Front:41 Rear:51 in the noon, in the next morning, checking the pressure: Front 39 Rear 49. PERFECT.

If someone will consider use 22” for winter, and it possible hard winter with many snow - I advice you dont spend money on 22 wheels. I have 22 with nokian hakka rs and it very uncomfortable, gonna take 20 soon

Can confirm 20” Nokian Hakka tires are the way to go during winter months. I live at the top of the Rockies in Colorado and travel up and down Berthod Pass without issue in my 2019 G63 (except for when I was late swapping the tires out and drove into in a foggy, angry blizzard with 22” summer Pirellis… surprised no one tried to give me a duck, if you know what I mean).
