New Owner: rear trunk door won't lock
 
New owner 2014 G63 and I noticed that I can't lock the rear door to the trunk. If I lock the car with the remote it makes the alarm engages. As soon as I grab the trunk door and open it the alarm sounds. Clearly it's not locking and car is thinking someone is breaking in. What could be wrong with the lock ?

Owner of 2012 G550 and experienced the same! What is up with that?

Pull the inner door panel and see if the actuator is attached properly.

my guess is the actuator needs to be replaced.

Do you have a guide to remove inner door panel on trunk door and how to remove or test actuator?
