Nothing, except for 2 sold in Quebec. I’m honestly not even excited about getting my car anymore I’m over it.

Thumbs up

All dealers in Toronto start receiving them. Mercedes Thornhill, Maple, Mississauga. I saw G63 Edition One at my dealer prep for delivery for tomorrow.
Here is some photos.

Just curious.. Do you guys north of the border swap out to dedicated winter rubber before you leave the dealer's lot??

Yes Raklaw.
The standard summer performance tires make it hazardous to drive when there is ice and snow.
It's certainly not an intuitive expectation for a beast like the G.

In Québec it is the law between December 15-March 15 to have winter tires. They are mandatory here

What?! So, literally to leave the Canadian sales lot and drive your new G63 home, you must have a second set of wheels and snow tires, and put them on the car to driver her home (given the stock OEM tires on the G63 are summer tires)?? Then, since only 2 wheels and tires will easily fit in the rear of the G63, you have to make yet a second trip back to the MB dealer to retrieve the other two?!

My dealer will be equipping me with winter tires (22” only Nokians or pirellis would work)

hah I would, however winter tires when it’s extremelt hot in summer would make the car skid as if it had no brakes. The rubber is different, especially with the weight of the car wouldn’t be such a great idea. When I was a kid, we used to have a thing called 4 season tires :p

Can you meet the requirement with a tire such as the BF Goodrich AT tire, or something similar?

Well thank you.. My curiosity is satisfied. A shame dealers dont offer a service to store your summers until March 16 so you dont have to make those trips.
I put dedicated winters on my 2014 G and ran them all year. HAH. The increased tread wear was nominal but the ride sucked in extreme heat.
The new G has 22": rubber which is not a great footprint for winter traction, so I have decided to keep the summers on and drive the Cayenne in the snow which has Scorpion Winters.
If I didnt have that I guess I would have to choose between putting on 22" winters or going for a complete new winter wheel/tire setup. Amazing what difference a tire tread and compound makes to all all wheel drive vehicle.

thats weird, my dealership does store tires, not for free of course but they do. Yeah I hear you in the 22” footprint in the snow, my ed1 will come with some winters. I think my dealer got me nokians. And it snows a lot here in Qc so I hope it will hold itself ;p
