I am trying to remove the front left drivers side shock. The steering components are in the way from me getting a wrench on the 24mm nut. Tried to go at it from the bolt head side towards the firewall but so little room to wrench and loosen the bolt.

Anyone have any any tips on removal of the front shock?

I removed the two front shocks from my G55.
I had put a 30 degree bend on long 24 mm boxed edge wrench.Got a purchase on the nut from the top ,moved an 1/8 of a turn and managed to get the bolt out.

Good luck, very doable

Thank you. Do you have a picture of your wrench that you bent?

Thanks for the tip. What kind of 24 box wrench you using? I have a craftsman and Pittsburgh and both heads are too large to fit because it hit the steering knuckle/rod.

This is the wrench I used .It's a19mm wrench.A little penetrating oil and voila.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for sharing. Very appreciative and it does help. Just ordered two more 24mm wrenches. Hoping one will have slim enough head to squeeze over the 24mm nut. Really want to try out some new shocks.
