Wheels / tires for going off road
Hello folks --
A new member here. Looks like I got meself a new 2018 G550. Any recommendations from the esteemed community on wheels / tires for light offroading (i.e. I still want to drive on regular roads daily) and where to acquire them? Appreciate your help. |
Nitto has a good selection that span off road and on road. It's a question of which side you want to be on, more off road vs on road. Maybe some Terra grapplers? https://www.nittotire.com/light-truck-tires/
Search the forum though. Plenty of wheel content here. |

wheels look cool but I didn't get the point for low profile MT tires, just for look?

I have a set of 18" KO2 (raised white letters) if someone is interested. Never used them, they are brand new a couple months ago.

I definitely think the Toyo MTs look the best, but I'm very happy with my BF Goodrich KO2s. Perfect combo of looks and driveability in my opinion. Felt little to no difference in on road performance after switching from the oem highway tires on my rig.

I have a set of white walled KO2 (18") if anyone needs a set.

nitto's definitely look great. i have a 2019 G63 with 20" rims, anyone have nittos or bfg KO2's on this setup? both wheels don't seem to come in the original 275/50/20 size and i'm not 100% certain the 275/55/20s will fit?
frankly i'm unlikely to do much offroading but seems like either of the above options would be better all-round tires for driving in the northeast with potholes and winters... appreciate any thoughts... |
