G Class Scratch Resistant Paint
Hello all, I've been waiting awhile and happy to say our G63 is arriving any day now! I was considering adding the dealer offered exterior/interior protection package which seems to pretty much be a ceramic coating and insurance policy. However, on the PO I see it has a line that states "G Class Scratch Resistant Paint"--does the factory apply a ceramic coating or some other compound to strengthen/protect the paint?
I was considering adding the MB windshield policy, but I think it's too expensive to only get one windshield out of it. I was quoted about $1,300 and the policy has a $5,000 total limit. I will likely just add a pf.

i have owned 6 of them since 2009 and have cracked the windshield on every single one of them. All were repairable though and the cracks did not run including the latest crack on my 2019 ED1 with 5000 miles so far. Fortunately have not had to replace a windshield yet but I do repair them very fast (the same day) I keep a repair kit at home.
