Thought I'd post a build thread...
Common thing to do is wire the DRL's directly into the water pump, but I didn't want the load going there so I used the jumper in the engine bay combined with a relay and then used the water pump as the "switch" to the relay...
Tried my best to make it look as factory as possible:
You can see the wire going down to the water pump:
DRL's running with the truck...
Finally the Brabus fog wiring all done as well:
Also installed black LED parking lights...
With G63 grill, new front bumper, headlight surrounds, and G63 fenders...
With new vertical style G63 grill...
Personally I like that a lot better - I think I'll roll with that...
New headlights wired up - simple plug and play. I'm going to put HID's in there, but that's with just normal halogens. Look pretty good IMO...
And now mocked up with the Brabus body kit - not 100% sure I love it... I'll get it painted though and decide after I get it all put together...
Everything is already over at paint. When I first got the car I had my paint guy camera the color for a perfect match. When painting your car don't let the paint shop just use the OEM color code. Over the past 17 years this truck has seen tons of California sun - fading the paint. If he just used the color code it wouldn't match. Anyway, I trust him 150%. He's done a TON of painting for me over the years - I joke with him that I should own 50% of his shop by now.
I have been wanting to update my 2005 G55 front lower bumper with the G63 lower. Do you know how hard the Chinese version fits up?
So far the build looks amazing and the quality of work is fantastic.
I will wait for the pictures that show how the bumper can be adjusted and such!

I will also mention, the halogen bulbs were replaced with Morimoto 35W HIDs - they look good and bright.

Can't complain about the way it turned out. Next is wheels...

Steering wheel pulled - pretty easy to do - if you need help, just find pulling an e-class steering wheel on YouTube... it'll guide you...
Everything pulled. Center console is very easy. Just look for the clips and a couple screws. No biggy. You'll need to unscrew the four screws holding in the glove box to get behind the dash and get that bar out. It's a tight fit to get in there, but doable.
All the parts out and ready to take in for hydrodip.
Where did you get the vertical slat front grill and dark indicator lenses and what LED’s did you use in there, did you get any error messages?
Brilliant transformation
