There are Mercedes dealer's that are also Renntech dealers - so there have not been any hassles between Mercedes and Renntech.
The Renntech HHT let's you switch back Factory Tune in 3minutes - as added "insurance" for dealer service you switch back to factory before you take your "G" in.

"If you damage your drivetrain as a result of a tune yes, the warranty for affected components would be voided" - well Bob, under Federal Warranty law's you are 100% incorrect.
If you "fried" your ECU with improper "bootleg/hacked" tuning - then the replacement ECU - then that replacement ECU would not be covered under Mercedes warranty.
With Renntech - if that were to happen (which to my knowledge it never has) - then Renntech would cover that ECU replacement (which they never have had to do to my knowledge) - your could check with George Leca at RennTech to confirm.

If this tune is backed by MB then I will admit I am incorrect, but one should ask the questions and read the fine print and not rely on me or anyone else on a forum. Most "tunes" though are not and for example many Porsche dealers install GAIC tunes these days; however, Porsche NA makes the final call on warranties, not the dealers. I had a Porsche dealer Service Manager tell me just that, which is why I went with a Cobb tune on mine - if I am going to play I am willing to pay.

Just like that post in 2017 - "much-to-do-about-nothing" - on that whole thread there was one guy going on-and-on about there "might" be a warranty problem with a tune - IF you don't tell your dealer that you have a tune ON SERVICE CHECK IN - and thru all the "opinions" back and forth - another member clearly posted he has "never had a warranty problem" because he tells his service dept on checkin.
The tech back then was to pull the sealed ECU box - send it to a tuner - then the tuner has to drill a small hole in the casing to release/split the case - then tune - put in back together ... that was that deal... and starting "around" 2017 - if your MB was hooked up to NetStar at that time - your tune would register a "flag" for it's VMI.
Again there has been no known report that I personally known of on any warranty issues on a Renntech tuned Mercedes.
