Matte paint worth it??

I am having trouble deciding between matte paint or metallic paint on my G63. The reason is because I live in Canada and the winters here can be pretty harsh on the paint. So for people who do own a G wagon with matte paint is it hard maintaining the paint?.

I live in Canada as well and had the same dilemma when I ordered my G, the salt and gravel is really harsh on the paint. I ended up going with obsidian black metallic and had the car covered in xpel and ceramic coated.
If you want matte I would buy metallic then get it covered in xpel stealth (matte) costs $12k-$14k depending where you take it. Kills two birds with one stone, your car is fully protected and you get the matte look. Just make sure you find a good installer.

yea I was thinking of just going with obsidian black but I don’t know the night black magno matte just looks too nice. If anything I might just get ppf installed and it lasts for 5-10 years which is pretty good. Or just do what you said. Nice username btw😂.

2021 Night Black Magno G63
I got my 2021 G63 with designo night black magno and absolutely love it! I would never want a regular gloss black paint ever again on a G after getting this color this time around. I got XPel Stealth PPF as soon as the car arrived and everything is perfect.

I figured when we split the forum we were done with paint and color questions.

Yeah I highly recommend getting xpel/ppf if you’re gonna daily drive it in the winter. And hahah thanks!

Who does a good ppf for matte vehicles in the GTA area? Have a magno G63 on order.
