I am new here and recently purchased a 2016 G63.
My W463 comes with about 563HP from the factory..
I am interested to increase the horsepower and torque.
Here in the UAE the company RENNTECH from Germany is offering an ECU Upgrade for over 3000,- USD...
my questions:
Has anyone used it so far and is t giving about 100HP improvement?
What other solution providers are highly recommended?
Welcome. The Renntech tune is easy to install (HHT), and the tune is really good. They have been tuning MB for years, and know how to make a good tune that won't blow up your vehicle. I haven't dynoed one myself, but I trust the numbers Renntech posts on their website. For a "plug and play" tune I would definitiely recommend them.
There are several other custom tuners that can tune your ECU, but most of them require you to send them your ECU for a flash. That is a considerable amount more effort than just getting the HHT from Renntech. I have used Boost Logic (Austin, TX) on a G63, and it is a fantastic tune. However, you would need to send them your ECU. DME also does very good custom tunes, but I don't know if they have a hand held tuner option or not.
Your easiest/cheapest option is probably Renntech. I had their tune on a G65 and it was monster.
^ This. Renntech is legit. I read a lot of German car mags & Renntech is always lauded for their performance products.
Although I don’t tune any of my vehicles, I’d choose Renntech or Brabus for MB performance parts...
I gave them a call yesterday. It's really quite easy with the handheld device, takes about 20min to program the ECU and can be easily reversed by the owner if or when needed..

Are there are other budget friendly options other than RennTech?
I am looking for some who is just as good , but not as expensive.
I love the Eurocharged E40 Tune we have on our E63S wagon - and TCU tune really helps shift points...
Adam/Dave at the eC in Austin and Jerry have done tunes stock and Custom on my last 5 mercs.... can't say enough good things.
They also have a "mild" tune that I have on the G55 and tune for it if you do the MBH headers.... it almost matches the 5.5tt with the headers and their updated tune/E85

RaceIQ is a great option.
Have my E55 making 564/666 to the wheels. Wife GL63 and my G63 both catless DPs and tuned no issues.
