NEW G550 Trailer Hitch Mounting Provision 2009 - 2013
G-wagenaccessories.com introduces the NEW trailer hitch mounting provision for Mercedes USA G Class vehicles from 2009 to 2013 (G550, G55, G63), which were delivered without any hitch mounting provisions from the factory during those years.
The Trailer Hitch Mount VTS-7286, especially made by G-wagenaccessories.com, will enable those affected G Class vehicles for the use of an available Mercedes trailer hitch.
This type of Trailer Hitch Mount has been used by Mercedes on all G class vehicles from 1979 to 2018, EXCEPT the USA models from 2009 to 2013. There are roughly 6000 G Class models that could benefit from the new Trailer Hitch Mount. The Trailer Hitch Mount needs to be welded to the rear 90mm frame tube of the G-Wagon vehicle.
Easy installation alignment, centered between the two side frame rails, mounting surface 450 down.
Welding to be done by an experienced body/frame shop welder.

The Mercedes factory had installed this trailer hitch mount on ALL Mercedes G-wagon models from 1979 to 2018. Only on the USA models from 2009 to 2013, the factory omitted these trailer hitch mounting provision, and introduce a more stronger fuel tank protection plate.
However, from 2014 on to 2018 the Mercedes factory provide again the trailer hitch mounting provisions on their USA G-wagen models, and introduce a new heavy duty trailer Hitch, together with a modification of the previously introduce stronger fuel tank protection plate.
With this NEW Trailer Hitch Mount, in conjunction with a new or modified fuel tank protection plate and the new heavy duty trailer hitch, the affected USA G-wagen models (2009 to 2013) without trailer hitch mounting provisions, can be brought up to the latest (2014 to 2018) trailer hitch installation.
