Hi All,

I have a 2016 G63 with the OEM leather steering wheel. I like to upgrade to the new alcantara finish design. Does anyone know if the 2019 and higher steering wheel would work on the 2016 models?

If not, does anyone know any alcantara AMG steering wheel that does work on the 2016 model? Im curious to know cost, and difficulty in swapping.

a 2020 wheel will work, cruise control on the wheel wont work but will from the stalk
mind this is not a direct plug and play, you cant just buy a 2019-2020 wheel and expect it to work. you will need to purchase from someone that is able to do the reprograming. alot of companies out there that can do it. feel free to PM me if you have any questions. I have done the swap more times than i can count.

Awesome! thanks so much. I was recommended a placed called AskCarbon and they seem to have the one that i want that's modified to work with the 16 model. Im considering getting that. Going for the full alcantara w/ white stitching, OEM chrome design.

AskCarbon says their items are a plug & play so hopefully something i can do myself.
