Please review my order / G63 AMG
Hi there.
I’m placing an order for a G63 and would be grateful if you could review / scrutinize my order.
Goal is to have a car with all must have options :-)
Thanks.

You are missing a lot of "must haves" - I'd recommend the following: carbon fiber trim (a MUST plus it'll match your steering wheel), I wouldn't do G Manufaktur (I have it on mine and the front passenger grab handle and rear trunk grab handle came in a cheap looking metal and plastic material instead of carbon fiber. I had to order the carbon fiber parts and swap these out at additional cost to me). I would just do the interior package plus with all the same interior options just not G Manufaktur as the front passenger grab handle with the engraved G Manufaktur looks tacky. The 22" black AMG wheels are a must too. The red brake calipers are a lot more popular for resale than the silver but if you like the silver then get the silver. Those are the only changes I'd recommend to get the best build possible.

Changed it to Carbon Fiber Trim.
So I removed the G Manufaktur trim and selected the other option. I like these three options (pictures below) 1). Macchiato Beige/Espresso Brown 2). G manufaktur Platinum White 3). G manufaktur Saddle Brown
Regarding the 22'', would it affect the ride quality. I am a sucker for cushy rides.
Would definitely be going with red brake calipers.

That's false. If you select the CF trim of course you can also select the CF steering wheel. I know people who have that who have G Manufaktur builds and who didn't. Talk to your dealer and just tell them what you want and they will get it built that way for you. Maybe something is off with the online configuration.

I don't know but I fixed it. I actually changed the G Manufaktur front passenger grab handle in silver and the rear trunk door handle in plastic to all carbon fiber. Looks MUCH better. My friend who ordered the exact same build as me but not G Manufaktur had it this way from delivery. Had to spend extra money and time just to make mine look as good as his did from the outset!

The open pore black ash trim comes with the crappy plastic trunk handle trim too.

So it's May 2023, what's new on the G63 front? The online build tool is now working on the MB website. Looks like MSRP is holding at $179k.
Are these available at invoice now? What's the lead time? Is the 2024 going to change? I can wait if so.
I would like to build the following config but it doesn't seem possible. Even though separately, the different interior colors are available, but just not together.
Interior, Saddle Brown seats, door inserts and lower dash. Espresso Brown steering wheel and upper dash. Beige microfiber headliner. Wood floor in the boot.
Exterior, Roof rack. Cardinal Red Magno paint.
For this kind of $'s, why isn't it more customizable? I don't have the $350k for the 4x4, although that would be an awesome vehicle. I would be good with a 550 4x4, like the older model, if it were in the below $200k range.

It is a slow forum but most of your questions can be answered in multiple threads.
Also not being sarcastic or snide but honestly asking if these are available at invoice does not deserve a response if you’ve done even the most basic research.
Interiors are somewhat customizable but you can’t do dual colors. There are aftermarket companies who will do whatever you want for the right price.

Will looking into getting it wrapped in a matte film.

If you were able to get a 2024 for MSRP, still wait until next year or jump on it? The 18/19 transition had around a 10% discount. MSRP is sort of the new 10% off these days when markups are $10k - $40k.

Wow, I'm surprised at only $10k over in Austin, that's a popping city right now. Lots of tech people and such moving in. The market is softer there?

For sure some of it is tax driven. There are two Final edition models, which I'd argue aren't such a great value-add vs. a G63. The package adds a lot of silly badging which I find distracting.

Agreed! All the extra writing on the vehicle with Final Edition plastered everywhere was distracting. I was offered a G550 Final Edition in Opalith White at MSRP but decided to pass on it. I'm purchasing a magno Copper Orange one instead.

Very nice! Congrats! Well one! Please share pricing details, if you can. I'm in my final day(s?) of negotiation... and will share when finalized. Enjoy!

In my experience, find a dealer with multiple vehicles on the lot, and they will probably be more flexible. The ones that only get one allocation in the Spring, and one allocation in the Fall won't deal. They just receive too few of the G wagons. So they are more valuable to them. So it makes sense.
