New G63, wrong color, wrap -vs- new pait?
So i got my hand on a 2021 G63 with 8,000 miles from the dealer. Dealer is selling me at MSRP so i feel it is a pretty good deal. The only issue is the Red color. I absolutely HATE red color.
I was thinking about wraping in matt grey, or painting in regular grey. But option are about the same price. Wraping last around 5-7 years, but protect the underneath paint from scratch (i have small childrens...). On the other side, new paint job is a permanent solution.
Any advice??

A new paint job that's well done is going to cost more than 10K easy.
I'd just find a place that does a really good job wrapping.
On a side note I wrapped my RAM TRX (not my G63) and it turned out awesome for 4.5k

if are getting it for msrp just get it..don't change the paint or wrap it; just put your own unique twist on it..like a black brush guard..match the brush guard with the rims...subtle changes to stand out...

Wrap it, repainting will kill the resale value.
I guess everybody loves red Gs except owners. I got so many comments when I had mine about how great it looked in red and how they’ve never seen a red one but it’s not a popular color.

Wrap it, or consider a matte PPF. It will still be red, but the matte red looks pretty cool. Don't paint it. Resale will be considerably more difficult, and any good paint job on that truck will be over $10K easily. Probably more like $15K to get into the door jambs, etc.
With a wrap you can do it one color now, and then change the color if it suits your fancy a few years from now when the wrap starts to look shabby.
One other thing to keep in mind...If your G sits outside all of the time I'd suggest you stay away from Matte wraps. They don't have the same UV protection in the film that the gloss films do, so they degrade faster. Plus when you go to get it rewrapped several years down the line the wrap shop will charge you out the nose for pulling off the matte wrap. It tends to want to come off in millions of small pieces instead of large sheets once the sun has degraded it.

Wrap is the way to go. This way if you get sick of the color you can always remove it. Also it'll protect your original paint.
G's are on of the hardest and most time consuming vehicles to wrap.

It was explained to me that the G has too many exposed edges, exposed hinges, hard corners, too many trim pieces that have to be take off, bull bar, spare, etc. - its just very time consuming. You can wrap a Tesla in 3 days. A G63 will take at least 2 weeks - maybe 3.

My RAM TRX took 3 weeks to wrap, but that's because I colored matched a few parts like fenders, and grill and painted the tow hooks red.
It was such a long job because how big the truck is.

First off, if you're getting an 8000 miles G63 at MSRP, flip it make some bucks, maybe $40K-ish, then pay over sticker for a G63 in the color you can live with,

When a thread starts "gonna get a 2021 G63 from my dealer w/8000 miles for MSRP" - "do I have it painted in my fav color?" - ending in the Dead-O-Zone is the smoothest landing you can expect !

Update ! : i'm going for wraping. It will be 3M satin dark grey 🤩
Someone asked what's the original color : Jupiter Red, a 5k$ option...
Someone asked why i don't sell and rebuy, since i bought at msrp : because in my province the waiting list is 3-5 years.
