Made some anodized aluminum adapters to fit these while keeping the stock latch/cam pieces.

Wow, that’s really cool. Last week I was shocked when I found this. It’s not normal is it? I don’t know exactly what this is, corrosion already?? The car is 8 months old and has less than 10k km.
I even wrote to this company autotech.de asking them whether it’s OK, but they ignored my message apparently

The original lock parts are junk, the one on my brand new car in sunny California already has signs of corrosion.
I have extras if you want to try it out and add a real lock on there!
