2025 G63 Markups?

Hello, can folks share if they are being charged a markup on their 2025 G63s? I currently have a dealer asking 25k, but this isn't 2019 - 2023 any more when G63s could get high markups. The demand has decreased.

2026 G63
A year or two ago there was a dealer with a south sea blue g63 that sat forever because I kept seeing it on Autotrader. If you don’t care I bet you can eventually get it for MSRP.

ADMs really depend on the state or region of the country you live in. Some states/counties/cities prohibit ADMs on new vehicles if purchased directly from dealers.

I'm in SoCal, which holds the dubious distinction by many motor magazines as the worst state to purchase a new vehicle... It has also oftentimes been referred to as "The Capital of G Wagons". I've been told by my dealer and other dealers in my area that they are asking anywhere between $25k up to above $75k in ADMs for the '25s - with $25k reserved for repeating customers. They've also told me that while they've seen a slowdown in the demand for G550, they haven't noticed any demand drop for the G63s.

So from the looks of it, the amount of ADMs for the G63 in SoCal has not changed between '24 and '25. Hope this helps.

Congrats! Like I said, ADMs are geographically specific. I have envy to those in OH, but I can’t see myself living in OH since I’m very attached to my grownup kids in CA.

From the dozen or so MB dealers I work with, +$25K seems to be the average for the G63. G550/G580 you can get at MSRP if you shop around. PM me if you want an intro to some dealers to compare pricing (I don't make anything from this, I just know some dealers who are less likely to take advantage of people).

I wanna say sorry to whatever jackwagon is paying over list price. I feel like ya gotta be a really special kind of A hole to pay that much over for a car that loses value the second you drive it off the lot.
But hey, you guys do you.

G-Wagons were going 100k over MSRP not too long ago. Sure it loses value when you drive off the lot, but many kept value better then any other car. Many folks, even in this forum, were getting a new one each year for almost free (since they actually were appreciating in value!). I don't think we'll see something like that before, but the G-Wagon depreciation curve can't really be compared to many other cars (911's come to mind? I'm not sure what else).

Would you please point me to the right direction? I just placed my deposit but I’m in line and it’s refundable. Don’t mind waiting a little longer for no ADM.

thanks in advance

Yessir, well aware of the drama created by the Pandamnit in regard to cars and G wagons as well. My original thoughts still apply.

The dealer I purchased my first G Wagon in Northern Kentucky is MSRP, but there's a huge waiting list, but they're also the number 1 or 2 G wagon dealer in the US so they get a **** ton every year, so the wait is like 6-9 months.
But the kicker is that they want you to trade it back when you're ready for another G wagon.

My local dealers here in Central Ohio are 25k

If you’re trading in your 2023 G63 they’re not holding value like they did in years prior or even a few months ago, so I think paying any markups should be a thing of the past……

By your handle name, I'm assuming you're in Los Angeles. I would suggest that you walk into ANY dealer in SoCal and tell them you want a '25 G63 at MSRP, then come back and let us know the reactions/responses you receive... Otherwise, your expectations on ADMs (or lack thereof) are mere conjectures and wishful thinkings. Have fun.

Nope. Just a recently happily retired corporate executive enjoying the good life with my wife, children and cars - not necessarily in that order ... I own (and have owned for decades) several AMGs and know most of the MB dealers in town.

No Markups at North Scottsdale Dealer

A Mercedes that I keep at my winter home in Arizona had a dead key fob battery so I dropped by the North Scottsdale dealer for a quick replacement.

I noticed half a dozen G Wagons on the show room floor including four new G550s.

Should have just walked out with the new key fob battery but the color was too enticing on this one:

https://www.mbofnorthscottsdale.com/...h1ab2sx017314/

Sat in it and then was pounced on by a sales person.

He was quick to say that there are no more markups on G Wagons.

With the amount of employees standing around and no customers, I believed him.

Absolutely - life is good. If this is your first G63, you definitely won't regret it. Whatever talk and apprehensions of ADM vs. MSRP will be a distant memory the moment you drive it home. I always remind others (and myself) that the car purchase process should be an enjoyable one. The car itself is the star, and the rest is merely background noise. That has been my approach and experience with each of my cars I've ever purchased. Good luck with your purchase and more importantly - enjoy and have FUN with the process!!!

did the salesperson say if this was for G550s only or even certain colors?

I was pointing to the blue one when I asked the ADM question so it seems that the color was not a restriction.

I needed to be somewhere else so I didn't ask if it was only for the G550s.

Even if they are still trying to get ADM on the G63s, it doesn't seem like that will last long based on the showroom being void of customers.

As I was leaving, he was pushing me to go on a test drive so it's not like anyone else was trying to purchase the vehicle.

2026 G63
The demand for G550s have fallen off a cliff. I've seen ones with delivery mileage wholesale below MSRP.

I don't know if this is a function of the V6 or the fact that Mercedes sent a bunch of market introduction G550s that weren't spec'd by customers and thus are a harder sale.

My dealer has said their demand for 2025 G63's is the highest it's ever been.
