I'm torn on the brush guard. I would be inclined to leave it on the truck. it does add some front protection against bad parallel parkers.

I think it just comes down to tastes and preferences. I like it. From the profile it gives a flush look to the front-end and I like seeing it from the driver's point of view. If a parallel parking scenario brought any damage I'm not sure the guard would provide any meaningful added protection as the bumper sticks out plenty and would likely withstand anything inside of 5mph.

My black/black 63 has the popler interior trim. How difficult and expensive was that trim mod? Was it done by the dealer?
