2013-2018 G63 prices given 2019 G63 release?

I'm looking to pick up a current generation G63 in the next year or two. I'm curious how the price on used/cpo G63 will change given the new 2019 G coming out. I would expect the price to fall a little, though not much, but thought it could also stay flat or even go up given the new G starting price is 20K higher than the current G. Thoughts?

Whatever the market wants to pay. You're always losing money when you play with cars. Finding one you like is more important AND that it works within your budget.

In my humble opinion, probably at least stay the same. The new G63s are much more $, easily 20k+.

I have just traded in my wife's 2016 G63 with about 14k miles, original MSRP a bit over $155k.
Trade in value: an even $100k.

From what I’ve seen in the markup after trade, they’ll try to list for 109,995

US base price 2019 G63

base price 2019 US G63 is 147,500$.

JetRanger 11-10-2018 03:13 PM

The guy who just posted his price sheet here on MBWorld for his G63, later posted (in response to my follow-up post) that his price was expressed in Canadian $'s, not USD. He said msrp was 147,500 Canadian $. The only USD figure I have seen is the one recently stated by MotorTrend magazine, and it was $144,695 USD, so at this point, who knows. We need to get official word from MBUSA.

US G63 price.

base price says 147,500$ on my sheet. will attach sheet.

Please do kindly post your G63 USD price. Base msrp $ is the only piece of the price puzzle I am still missing for my 2019 G63. I have all of the option prices I selected, but base msrp is still tbd. To this point, I was simply using the same delta as the base price increase for the 2019 g550 vs/ 2018 g550. Thanks for any help on this!.

While my local dealer (who has 5 on the lot) doesn't want to discount at all, the Atlanta (RBM) and Nashville (Music City) seem to be willing to do anything from 5-11% right out of the gate.

Buyers market at the moment. Tons of 2018s leftover.

Prices will dip as the new ones roll in but I think ultimately the 2019's will take a much bigger hit once the hype wears off and the allure of the old ones sticks as it did since 1979,

That's a painful trade in allowance. I've had my 18 for a few weeks and just giggles I was curious what mine would be worth on paper so I worked two deals. On an incoming 167K G63 vs. my 161K MSRP 2018 a dealer was wiling to giving me a 131K trade allowance for mine. I have 900 miles on mine. Another dealer was willing to do a 125K trade allowance.

That's a strong number as you can buy leftover '18 untitled G63s for 10 percent off MSRP and as the new G63 is pulling 20K over it might be something for you to consider.

Spread sounds right between Jesse's trade allowance and a new untitled 18 G63. Cherryblock, granted your 19 G63 is at MSRP, they're taking the markup from your trade in value instead. It's just a wash.

Well at the end of the day if you are happy with the outcome then all is good?

+1 billion

As long as it works for you! I hope you didn't think I was knocking your deal. Most of us here are just trying to keep other informed.

Not at all - I was doing the same giving real time feedback- no harm at all ?

Toad1906 04-18-2019 02:19 PM

My '04 has done this twice over the last 14,000 miles. I've only had it for a little over a year and put the last 15,000 on myself, so I have a limited history to base it on. I honestly assumed i was because the vehicle was older and had over 100K miles and was just burning oil.

Better to take Times Global Assurance plan for iPhone & MB insurance

One of my friend was telling me that if u are taking insurance of your Mercedes Benz from Times Global Assurance then you will get an additional insurance of iPhone or Samsung Galaxy Mobile phone in free with extended warranty plan.
Also this insurance is cashless in almost every MB service centre all across the India.

Crazy as it sounds I was able to get my 19 G63 Edition 1 at sticker, right when they first were released from the port. I'm in the LA/Socal market and it was insane what I was hearing. G550's were still going for $10-20k over. I tried all dealerships in the socal area, some were saying $100k over sticker, $50k over sticker etc, I think Kevin Hart purchased from one of the local dealerships at $100k over. At the time I was calling there was still lots of ambiguity as to when they would be released, which I may have benefitted from, and maybe an inexperienced sales manager. Anyway I located a small dealership north of LA who had one coming and agreed to sticker price over the phone a month before the car was released. Sometimes you have to look to the boondocks to find the right deal/car.

Love the car, other than the cracked windshield lol

For anyone thinking about the 19 vs prior generation, which I had both a 2014 as well as a 2018, for me it's no contest in every way the 19 is superior. Drive them back to back and it's such a massive difference in every day driving.
