C220 Diesel
transmission oil change
Not really understanding cars much, I just want to check that I am not being ripped off at my car service. The Garage has said that I need the automatic transmission oil and filter changing. I drive a C220 cdi diesel 2007. it has done 70,000 miles and apparently has not had its transmission oil and filter changed before. they also want to charge £200 for doing this. does all this sound reasonable?

It does to me. MB transmissions need a flush and ATF change from time to time, even if they did mention a decade or so ago they where sealed for life. They have changed that policy in the meantime.
