Best buying strategy for a CPO vehicle?
Looking at a CPO '13 C250 coupe at a west coast dealer. It's the colors I want, 23K miles and it has a large number of options but sticker is $27,900 which I think is a little high (invoice sheet is showing $31,000). I've never bought anything there before but do use them for service on my GLK350. I noticed that same C250 was on the lot a little over a month ago when my GLK was in for service, so it's been sitting around for a bit.
What's a good strategy to get the best value? Offer cash on a lower price or will they make a better deal if I finance? Maybe ask for a lower price and/or have them throw in some extra's like one or two services? Also curious on MB financing if you pay any type of premium to pay off the loan early? (I know there's no "penalty" but is pay-off amount higher than if it was paid for in cash?)
Thanks!
