Question Tire Warranty on CPO

Hello - I recently bought a 2017 GLC300 CPO. The tires had been replaced by the dealer and I could tell that they were new Pirelli run flats.

I believe new vehicles are covered under a separate warranty. Can anyone tell me the type of warranty coverage on the new tires for a CPO vehicle? The dealer will not give me any paperwork for the tires so I am not sure if I can any help by contacting Pirelli directly in case there is a problem with the tires. I did not purchase the extended warranty for tires.

Any advice or help will be appreciated.

Thanks.

The CPO warranty doesn't cover "wear and tear" or maintenance items, so you cannot make a CPO warranty claim to have a tire replaced. Any warranty on the tires would come only from the tire manufacturer.

How much mileage was on the car when you bought it? It seems odd that they already had to replace the tires on a car that's only one year old.

Thanks. I realize that tire warranty is separate from CPO warranty. The dealership has not given me any paperwork for the new tires that they installed. I understand that new tires come with a warranty from the tire manufacturer (Pirelli) but how would I claim my tire warranty rights without the paperwork?

I went to Pirelli's website and it requires Proof of Purchase for warranty support but the dealership will not provide me proof of purchase.

The vehicle has about 12000 miles and the dealership mentioned that they replaced the tires to bring the vehicle up to CPO specs.

12,000 miles seems like an awfully short lifespan.

What is the dealer's rationale for not providing you with proof of purchase?

The rationale was basically that we don't provide tire proof of purchase for CPO sales.

What I would like to know is if that's the standard practice with Mercedes Benz CPOs.
