I was wondering if you guys can share any input or opinions about which car i should buy for college. I am in Boston and there is a lot of snow. Im not so sure of my budget but im guessing around from 35K till about 45K.

Here are some of my considerations


Audi TT coupe 225 hp - i drove a 180hp and i think i might get bored of the car very quickly. also not a real performance car.

2005 MB C230K sedan with good amount of options I dont know too much about it and not so sure if i would be happy with its performance. looks great though.

BMW 330ci with sport package, navigation system, SMG (43k plus taxes etc) Its my first choice if i can spend that amount. Its fully loaded and im sure it would be easy to modify. But sadly its not a Benz

Those three are my most serious considerations. Anybody have any suggestions or helpful info??

No question, get the 330. If your considering a sedan, I'd get the 330i with the ZHP.

The seats are small and the trunk is small and it hasn't got many amenities but the contest isn't even close....go for the BMW! Get it with a manual transmission.

Be warned though, you will be spoiled by the driving experience and nothing else except maybe a Porsche will be as much fun.

Plan on keeping it for a long time because I think BMW is about to screw up the 3-Series the way they've done the 5 and 7.

From your list, I would go with the BMW.

However, if you're interested in MB, why don't you consider the C320?

Go with the BMW. You will love the SMG.

SMG on a 330? I thought that was only for the M's?

I believe it is a watered down version made from another company. I've heard second hand it's not very good.

By far the 330i or ci. Nothing comes close, except for maybe the G35 Infiniti w/Sport Package.
